Well said. My own family has always been close, and my mother was that person who held things together, who always knew what the aunts and uncles and cousins were doing, who put together the great meals on all the major holidays, who never forgot a birthday, and was always at a wedding. All that, and unconditional love. I lost her two years ago to cancer, and I'm still not over it. My guess is that Coach McHale had the same kind of relationship with his mother. He should take all the time he needs. It's a blow.
This brought tears to my eyes I lost one of my friends one day then a couple days before his funeral my grandma passed. My family will never get over it she raised 17 kids and multiple grand kids. My condolences go out to coach McHale and his family losing any one close to you is hard, it's a part of life we all dread.

Awww, this just breaks my heart. So soon after his daughter, so close to the holidays again. It will be the 15th anniversary of my father's death (from cancer) in a couple of days. Although no time is good, this is a really tough time to lose someone you love. Deckard, it gets better/easier but I don't think you ever really get over it.
