Kevin McHale is one of the lowest ranked coaches in NBA

While I don't agree that Morey should be fired, the argument that he should be fired over not letting go of McHale this year is legitimate. McHale not being fired this year means coaches like Lionel Hollins are no longer going to be available next year, so when we actually do get rid of McHale we might find ourselves with a less talented coaching pool to choose from than that of this years coaching pool.
