I get the feeling Carl was the class clown that always kept everyone laughing. He does indeed have a dark sense of humor. This thread is awesome.
McHale running a loose ship again after a win: Spoiler <iframe src="http://player.theplatform.com/p/zT2_HC/iEazkwCwmKPM/embed/select/U0figYzBENe4?params=zone%3Dcsnvideo&autoPlay=true" width="480" height="270" frameborder="0" seamless="seamless" allowfullscreen>Your browser does not support iframes.</iframe> Do the players do this to Popovich or Larry Brown?
McHale is one very intelligent man who just happens to have a boatload of knowledge about NBA basketball and NBA players. I would imagine every Rockets player would rather play for McHale than Larry Brown.
Another good coaching day. What I like the most is McHale's effort level today. Really shows energy. I hate lethargic coaches and I bet the players do, too. -Great timeout called when the Rockets fell behind early in the 1st quarter to immediately turn things around. It wasn't only the score, but also the accountability. Guys moved the ball to create easy shots. -A couple negatives, though: (1) McHale forgot to tell guys to keep Orlando off the offensive boards and (2) McHale did not pay enough attention to coaching free throw shooting. These errors, though, can be remedied and I hope that McHale will do so given that he has until Thursday before the Rockets have to play next. -Otherwise, great coaching effort. I hope that McHale keeps up the good work and develop some consistency.
Still sloppy ball handling by McHale though. Why did he tell Parsons to throw the ball to the referee for a 3-pointer??
My only criticism of McHale today was that he didn't tell Big Baby not perform a flagrant foul on Harden. And then look what happened. Harden could have been hurt.
Big Baby is an emotional guy, McHale can't be expected to control how Big Baby acts: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/kB0N-wR4rEA?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
McHale shut down Popovich tonight. He was destroying him on both ends of the court, and Popovich had no answer.
We need Dwight to shoot more 3s. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/PKf2ptNNBKg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Eh I would have staggered harden and dwight at the end of the 3rd, early 4th. We won so I can't complain
