#1 reason I quit being a Republican voter is I got tired of them not actually caring about any economic policy beyond tax cuts. The tax cuts when W first got elected made sense as we had a surplus, but every one of them since has been very questionable. The Trump tax cuts featured some good tax changes, but it needed to be revenue neutral, and they weren't anywhere near that.

Reaching across the aisle and rejecting the extremes, like we used to do, isn't a new concept. Let's bring back that old, very dated concept of real bipartisanship

 

Once again the party of personal responsibility takes no responsibility.

 

Don't forget that W also fought two wars on deficit spending.
