Martin wasn't guarding Melo, so I'm not sure why that's relevant.

Martin's value could not be higher than it is right now, and he's not getting any younger. If the Rockets can get a young big, or a young player with huge upside, or multiple picks, they'd be making a huge mistake not to give it serious consideration.

Kmart has been clutch in the past few games. He is not known (hated) for not having much defense but he has been stepping that up too. In several of the past games he's gotten crucial steals late in the 4th quarter.

The kid has shown some improvement and everyone needs to get off him and give him a chance.

    I think so too.

The past few games I've noticed him trying to assert himself a bit more and really trying put his stamp on the game. I don't think he'll ever fully reach that superstar level but he's definitely stepped up lately.

It would have to be for one of the best players in the league because right now Martin is playing at an elite level similar to his best year ever in the league. He is winning us games on par with what superstars do lately.

I think this is best overall season in the NBA. The year he averaged 24+ points he was also averaging 7 more minutes than he is now. The guy is getting 23.5pts on 44% fg 41% 3pt and 88% ft while only averaging 31 minutes a game.

Watch the game and then comment plz. Melo was not assigned to Martin on defense. Battier, Budinger, and Hayes split time garding him. So we had, argueabley, our 2 best defenders in Battier and Hayse on him and he still dropped 50 on us.

Yeah he may have graduated to allstar level. Maybe not Superstar level but Martin is having allstar year. He could be in the allstar game and three point contest with the year he is having.

Id like to add if he attempted as many shots as the other elite players..he would be leading the league in points added to 5 minutes more of playing time... he was a great steal for tmac...

Because Rick Adelman was giving too many minutes to Aaron Brooks, whose play has not justified those minutes.

Exactly..getting rid of brooks helps this team in so many ways...if he's still a rocket after the deadline I would be very surprised..

whoever thinks that Kevin Martin must go must be crazy. he is a great scorer and a great offensive player. if we are to get rid of anyone it should be Brooks because of his attitude and his whining of his playing time. if he wants to play more than he needs to start playing better and stop turning the ball over so much. so far Kevin Martin and Kyle Lowry have shown that they can play well together. also I feel that Ish Smith should be given more playing time as well. he may not be a scorer but he is a great passer. i guess we will just see what will happen.

    Because we are stocked.

Lee, who is a very good player is not getting much time. And T-Will is on a waiting list. Ask yourself, when you have that much talent, why would you want to play your best players 40 minutes. Don't ask me why we still suck if that much talent, because I am talking about that particular position only

Martin/Lee combo is really nice. I don't wanna see Martin averaging 40 minutes... 30 for Martin and 18 for Lee sounds about right.

Kevin Martin has been playing inspired ball. His defense still struggles but he's been putting in the effort. As a fan, I appreciate it. He might not be considered a superstar but he sure does get superstar calls.

As of today, Martin has more FT attempts than Lebron James himself. The man has game and commands the respect from the league (refs lol) as much as these superstars. He's Top 10 in scoring and plays the least minutes of them all, 2nd in FT attempts, 1st in makes, and 3rd in 3pts made. He makes Half the amount of money of what these superstars are making.

The League knows how Martin is...

It's the Media that doesn't give enough respect to the man. If the media gave him more attention, he would be valued much higher. Instead they hype and overrate guys like Joe Johnson who is making Max by the way. Take away Josh Smith, Al Horford and see how good Johnson really is.

That Utah game really turned it around for Martin, the team showed some faith in him and that must've gave him a huge boost in confidece.

A little premature, but I think Sacramento rolled the wrong dice on this one. Evans has been struggling but on top of that, he makes his whole team worst regardless by commanding the ball too much. Morey definately got the better end.

He's legit, Kevin Martin is a sleeper.

Errr... not getting any younger? Is a player near retirement age at 28 these days? Besides, it's not like Martin relies on crazy speed or athleticism to get the job done, either.

Steals aren't really a good measure of defensive abilities... See: Allen Iverson.

Johnny Flynn sucks royal ass. Did you see how excited he gets every time he makes a layup? It looks as if he's never made a shot before in his life. I'm fully convinced that he's Smush Parker 2.0.

a roster that loses more than it wins? Unless you are saying Adelman is the problem which i would agree with in part.

We won more games than we lost last season without Yao and Mcgrady for more than half a season. Do the math. That's 40 M out.

Were out 18M this year and still pushing for a playoff spot.
