I'd hope he has the skills to be a ball hog.

Going 1-10 from the field is a stat that affects the outcome of games, in case you didn't know.

Martin is NOT a guy who can close a game, we knew that before we got him.

What he is a GREAT #2, super high BBall IQ, and ridiculously efficient.

Really Rockets need a #1 guy to pair with Martin and Martin can be his Scottie Pippen (obviously much worse D than Pippen), and then surround those 2 guys with D first players, and this would be a beasty team imo.

Also to add #1 players don't come around everyday, so there is no point in blaming anyone (Les, DM, etc) for not getting one, I am sure they are trying and want to get one, but it isn't easy to find or get one, but if we do, this would be the team to beat imo.

Couldnt have said it better myself.

If only Scola would kick it out when he's being double teamed and Kevin is WIDE open for three

Trade for Yao! for closing games... he will rape other centers one on one and demand double team then pass it out to Martin for open 3's or pass it to Scola for open mid range shots.... and then we will have a plan to close games :D

so we should keep AB and trade Martin..? wow, maybe the one who has low BB IQ after all

ohh and by the way Martin defended Kobe pretty good last night, so please focus on the negatives instead of the positives.

why get rid of martin when he is one of our best players?for what ? a bag of weed and billy goat?

I love people want to send these guys away like a dictator waking up in a bad mood.Once you execute martin will it feel good? probably not.

Let's keep our best players - hayes, scola, martin, battier, lowry and lets move budinger, hill, lee, patterson and our best trade piece brooks.

With a package of brooks hill lee patterson budinger surely that could add up to something teams would like. Lots of teams need an energy point guard that can score. I think Brooks fits that and we have lowry. If we had to include lowry for an all star point named paul then so be it.

We are not terrible even though we lost again last night. We went to OT and had the game in our hands again. Playing Dallas and San Antonio and now LA I don't think we are far off. It may be that the league is down a tad but we really are not that far off. a few relatively minor tweaks and we may not be in the top 5 but certain the top 8.

call me a homer but I have been watching these games and we are not that bad. Yes we are losing but still it's not like we are getting completely smoked. We hung with SA fine and they went on a run and they were at home.Dallas doesnt scare me. Really the only team that has really worked us this year was the heat and orlando. For the most part every other game we have played good if not pretty decent. We have had some bad breaks and in the regular season defense can be a hard thing to concentrate on. Yes I know W-L is everything and certainly we haven't had that energy of the last few years but also think we can get that back. Scola hayes battier and lowry bring that intensity and martin is the scorer. We just need one more scorer(besides brooks but similar ppg) and one tall guy like a javale mcgee, Deandre jordan ibaka type to swat out the paint stuff.

    just my internet 2 cents-
PROUD MEMBER OF THE SAVE SCOLA SAVE MARTIN SAVE HAYES SAVE LOWRY SAVE BATTIER ALLIANCE

We should try and keep Martin as a sidekick if we do trade for a superstar (assuming we'll be able to) Martin and a superstar scorer would make a very lethal 1-2 combo, but if we must trade him in order to get better then why not?

Morey isn't doing any deals. He is waking up every day with his hair messed up in the middle of his day and scratching his belly on the way to eating couch pizza. Flips through the channels to ESPN. Then throws the remote control behind him and begins his fap session. Goes on phone and contacts other GM. GM laughs in his face over Morey's suggestion. Morey throws phone back on floor and goes back to couch pizza and ESPN. That's the extent of Morey's work on moves to improve the team lately.

He needs someone to play along side him. Would have been perfect with Yao, too bad.

I agree with 95% percent of what you wrote.

Kevin Martin has a tremendous basketball IQ. TREMENDOUS...

Rookies play outside their abilities. Veterans know what they do well, and they do it over and over.

I think Kmart is fine closing games. I mean, he's not Kobe or dwade, but he has talent enough to execute down the stretch. One ofthe problems is that there is almost no other late game threat ( outside of scola I guess ) that can take some attention from him. Kyle Shane and chuck don't help in that situation.
He's shown that he can score at will when the ball is in his hands. He should have it more often late in games.

wow. smdh. Kmart has vastly improved from the "kings" Kmart. he actually plays decent d now & is more efficient then the CURRENT AB. In AB's defense if didn't get injured then yeah he would be a great closer , but yesterday possibly, Kmart would have been the better closer.

Aaron Brooks missed another wide open 3 in clutch time, that's what we should be talking about.

I'd get rid of martin for lotto picks and expirings, if fans don't realize it now they never will we need to be tanking at all cost, keeping martin and scola will keep us around .500 we need to go to the bottom to rise to the top again pretty soon kings and clipper will rise with their development and as they continue adding promising players through the lottery.
