Probably because RA thought we had a better chance with Brooks down the stretch again until he completely blew it with those missed layups and three. He needs to get Martin involved in almost every last play. You hear excuses that he just camps out or mr. 3tr etc. If they just draw up some plays, force the PG's to put the ball in his hands, good things will happen. Great players always finds a way. THe pass was terrible and he made one hell of a play and a clutch ft to seal the deal.
Ill second that. You've heard the excuses ie: Mr. 3qtrs, camps out in the corner late, can create his own etc. Maybe it would help if they just drew up a play for him since he cant create his own shot. You cant write the guy off if you dont even give him an opportunity!
they've been running plays for him all the time to get him the ball he just gets locked up off the ball. he fought through a screen and made a great circus shot tonight.
KMart scored on very flukey play. with Kmart in we only have one perimeter guy who can create his shot. Kmart is more of a finisher than offense creator.
Then it must really suck to get locked up off the ball most nights. Maybe coach should draw up a different play sometimes if whatever play he used to get Martin the ball night in night out keeps failing. it always ends up as Martin locked, and Brooks or Lowry taking the final shot. The odds aren't good.
Agreed. Now coach just needs to get the creators on the same page. Thats to do whatever it takes to set it up for the teams best finisher. That should always be plan A. Plan B would be Brooks/Scola.
true but most of the time it's just how good a player is at getting separation (like how ray allen was in seattle) but one thing i have noticed s the rockets dont really set screens within screens like the celtics do with allen where the other players without the ball set screens for allen. weird too cause adelman had good off ball screens with peja in sacramento
