Only if the deal looks like this. That would also open of the route of trading Scola for the #7 (Vesley or Leonard).

No. What's the point of keeping Martin? Dude is good, but we're rebuilding. We need young talent + picks. And they present a C to sweeten the deal.
Rockets fans far overvalue Martin if they think he is worth someone along the lines of Bogut. Al Jefferson isn't all that bad.
IMO, you didn't read the article closely enough. The goal was Kanter at #3 to bolster the group of bigs which would include Okur, Milsap, Favors and Jefferson. With Jefferson being the odd man out as he makes more than Milsap & Favors combined. The deal from Utah's perspective is almost certainly Jefferson + 12 for Martin + 14. The Rockets would then play Jefferson at C while they stash Jonas Valanciunas in Europe for the remainder of Jefferson's contract. That's how it would work if the $Balls give the edge to Jefferson over Martin. Personally, I think the $Balls value Martin over Jefferson.
While having Bogut would be nice, I just can't see the Bucks moving him unless somebody really overpays....you never know though. But Martin should fetch someone better than Big Al as the aforementioned health issues combine with a robotic bear that doesn't D up.
Clutch Fans continue to undervalue Kevin Martin; he is an elite scorer, his offense is not that easily replaced. He had a very good year; without him the Rockets would likely not had a winning season. And if they had made the playoffs, he would have been the main reason why.
Martin should be used for a higher calibre player. I would love to involve a 3rd team and trade Scola instead. Scola and Jefferson are both injury prone but Jefferson has a higher ceiling.
Very much doubt the Rockets is going to offer Martin for Jefferson. It's a fair trade, but the Rockets are not looking for fair trades.
Wait, folks. Let me get this straight. Are you guys for a player player, a C/PF, who shoots less than 50% from the field? And I know half the people here don't care about FTs, but this guy averages 3.5 fta a game. FOR A POST PLAYER. Are you clamoring for a guy who replaced Carlos Boozer and promptly saw the Jazz record drop from 53 wins to ~47** wins? Basically the guy is worth 6 games less than the no-defense, undersized Boozer. **Note: I extrapolated the Jazz 31-23 record before Sloan retired and DWill left. If Jefferson can be had for, Jordan Hill and Brad Miller, I'd think about it. I'm not sure I'd even give Lee or CBud for him. At least those players don't make 8-figure salaries.
He can rebound and he isn't 6-6 sign me up. Its not like we are going anywhere with martin. Its time to roll the dice.
You also swapped Boozer for Jefferson while ignoring: a) Deron and Sloan not getting along this season and having some run-ins b) Mehmet Okur being non-existent this year c) The loss of Ronnie Brewer d) The loss of Wesley Matthews e) The loss of Kyle Korver The 2010 Jazz and the 2011 Sloan Jazz were not identical teams -Boozer +Jefferson, so I don't think you can logically come to the conclusion that Jefferson = -6 wins for them. Also, the Jazz were 24-12 before Deron Williams injured his wrist on January 5th. From that point on until Sloan's retiring, they went 7-11.
