I expect our primary scorers to score in crucial moments. He did a great job in helping us to an 85-84 lead with 5 minutes to go. But he did not inspire confidence in his ability to make plays in the final 5 minutes. We needed another playmaker on the floor to that on that responsibility.
The bottom line is that our team is flawed because the pieces only fit perfectly IF Yao is healthy. (I can barely stomach saying it anymore) Its a real shame because Morey, the Players, and most of all us fans deserve better. But our "star" can't stay on the floor!
Kevin martin won't ever be a closer, he's a 2nd or 3rd option. Everytime i see him trying to even take over and close, he loses the ball. He's a good guy to go to if you want to build a big lead or already blowing a team out, but not when it's close.
i gotta hate on kevin martin for a minute. i'm entitled to that considering what this rockets team is putting me through. kevin martin is a flopping b!tch! if he can't flop for gay fouls, he will never get to the line! he tries to flop anytime he gets contact. i hate watching this. and his 'oh so innocent' look he tries to give when he knows its a bullsh!t foul. this will not win us games! he carries himself like he's an @sshole at a country club. just smug. players on the other team can't wait to punk a guy like that!
