It's still hard to believe that some of the so-called Rockets fans want to trade the most exciting player on the team. Sell-outs.

What I'm saying is that KM has indeed been doing just that, and it results in free throws which are not recorded as unassisted shot attempts, which for some reason people think are overwhelmingly important. The whole point of this thread is that KM has indeed been getting the job done in late game situations. Hell just this last game he scored 11 of the team's last 19 pts. Isn't that an example of being aggresive?

Oh ok, cool - I understand what you are saying with the free throws not being recoreded as assisted.

And yeah, I guess him scoring the teams last 11 is a great example of being aggressive. He is 14th on that list, I was suggesting (from my limited knowledge) ways he could improve that ranking. That would help us as a team too. Just looking for more wins for the team bro.

Sometimes I wish he would have done that in the games where he looks invisible. You have to admit there have been quiet a few of those games where in clutch fans are left asking "where's Martin?".

It would be interesting to see where he is listed once that list is updated with more recent results. It would be a huge benefit for us if we had someone in the top 10, and Martin is the best equipped to do so.

No the point was that Rockets win with ball movement and not one guy going iso, just like Boston. We get just as many assist in a game as they do they're #1 we're #2.

Btw that update date is way off those stats were updated a few days ago. If they were updated last season we wouldn't even be talking about them. So no Lebron and Wade don't have very high assisted numbers this year.

If K-Mart is so clutch then why is Kyle Lowry shooting in the final minutes?

I bet most of his points come from the team giving him the ball and getting intentionally fouled at the end of the game.

    Martin isn't clutch.

Probably because he's shown that he can make those shots at a decent clip.

He is, after all, shooting better in the clutch than Kobe.

I agree with you that Martin is choker, but you aren't doing our plight any favors with Lowry. It just makes us look bad to the "Martin is clutch" folks.

In the original post's link, it showed Lowry shooting at half the pace of Martin in the final 5 minutes.

Lowry 10.2 FGA per 48 minute in the last 5 minutes when the score is +/- 5pts
Martin 22.1 FGA per 48 minutes in the last 5 minutes when the score is +/- 5pts

It's also important to note that he is assisted on 66% of his shots. That means that most of the time someone else needs to make a play for him, he can't make plays for himself or others.

Contrast LeBron is only assisted on 12% of his shots.

I miss the days when basketball fans actually liked team offense and passing. :(

Yes, because passing is obviously losing basketball. Only teams that do not pass the ball win championships.

Yes, because passing is obviously all you need to win basketball games.

Why do some of you clowns even watch the Rockets play if you don't appreciate the players? Either you are a fan of the team or not. Start watching the Mavs or the Spurs instead. If you don't like the way Martin gets his points, don't watch him play. The guy does everything he can to help the team win and all some of you do is complain. Get over yourselves please! Kevin Martin is the most consistent player on the team and one of the most efficient players in the league. Funny how so many of you seem to keep forgetting that. What a shame.

Remember when Dream was the problem when he didn't win a ring 12 seasons out of his career?

The "win a ring or you are a loser" thing is so overblown it's just mind-numbing.
