He was stupid trying to build a midget all-PG team to surround Love. Rubio, Flynn, Telfair(previously Ramon Sessions), Ridnour. Everybody was laughing at the the Timberwolves, when they got 4 PGs.

I don't think the Rockets would do that. Besides, a good team can tank, but they still have the elements in place to be good again(good GM, good coaches, good vet players).

Funny how you fail to mention who the power forward was....Sheldon Williams bwahaha. He just sucks much like Kevin Loves defense it just sucks.

They're a young team, no one is expecting them to be knocking down the Lakers door just yet.

Love and Beasley are both great pieces for them.. Wesley Johnson looks like he could be a good glue guy down the line. I'll wait till Rubio plays in the NBA before commenting on him, but I love the kid.

Flynn is garbage though. Still can't believe they took him.. what an idiot.

And FWIW, if we had the Timberwolves roster, we would be the front runners for landing Carmelo. There are negatives (record) and positives (assets) to their situation.

I can't believe you are faulting his defense in a game where the back court got whooped 58 pts to 35 pts.

Williams got nearly a double double against Randolph in the same minutes.

Timberwolves have always been bad at drafting. They are the 6th worst drafting team for the last 20 years. Giving them lottery picks instead of 15-25th picks just means they fail with a higher draft picks.

This just tells you how valuable good scouting and player development is.

It also shows you how good Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett were/ARE.

Kevin Love, Zach Randolph, Blake Griffin, Al Jefferson, all put up great numbers and are excellent players.

Garnett was winning 50 games with Troy Hudson as the 2nd best player on the team.

    THANK YOU!!!

People forget how good KG really was. They think he's just some scrub who couldn't dominate by his self and needed someone else's help. This guy is one of the all time greats. The only reason I can think of that people don't get this is because he played in the same conference with Shaq and Duncan. It's not really an insult to call them better.

    Not it isn't.

Its to support the people saying the stats are not helping the Wolves win total. So naturally Garnett would be an example of someone in the same position in the same franchise who DID. I wasn't to dump on Kevin Love and give "old timers" some recognition. You can do that with anybody in any thread, say someone is good then say "But they aint Hakeem". (Well no s****), so thats not what this is about.

Its nice to enjoy Love and Griffin's play now and see the POTENTIAL to reach that status :)

Remember when OJ Mayo was traded for Kevin Love....

McHale looks like a genius right about now

That was a Kahn move. One of the few moved he has made that made sense at the time he did it and paned out long term.

I want to see Love go to a team like the Warriors (or a reasonable winning facsimile) so I can see more of this Wes Unseld-ish outlet passing that he's supposed to have. He can apparently make full court chest passes into the basket with ease during practice, I want to see if he could make a significant impact on a team's fast break attack.

To those asking why Kahn deserves credit for what Love is doing now when it was McHale who drafted him. He at least deserves a little credit for choosing to trade away Al Jefferson rather than Love once it was established they didn't fit with one another. He also deserves credit for the Milicic re-signing. Everybody mocked it, turns out Kahn may have been right. He's seeming like he's worth that contract anyway.

Unfortunately for Minnesota fans, Kahn still has a lot to prove before anybody would dare call him a good GM.

He makes full court shots like they're just simple passes, it's pretty crazy. He's been doing it since high school when messing around.

the guy is amazing. once he figures out how to finish his shots, he will be just ridiculous. minnesota and clips actually have bright futures if they can keep their franchise players.

just finished watching 2 qtrs of the game.
Kevin Love is amazing, the way he grabs all the rebounds is Rodman-esque.
