Send a message next time we play these clowns.

Sign Anthony Mason and Charles Oakley just for that game.

That was kind of sad. At the Target Center the crowd "ooo-ed" when it happened and then cheered when McHale and Scola got their technicals.

Anyway I thought McHale was supposed to make this team tougher yet all of the fight was on the "soft" Adelman side.

I don't think a retaliatory cheap shot is necessary to send a message. Turn up the defensive intensity, get stops, and make plays in transition. I thought that's how the Rockets responded, and to me that's a better way to send a message.

Exactly can not let the other teams in the league think that they can get away with disrespecting a fellow team mate without facing the consequences. Love is a wanna be thug with the Mountain Man look he is sporting now a day.

For all the people who claim Lowry is all emotional during games, just have to point to those two circumstances. Fisher floored Scola and all Lowry did was stand there a point. I guess maybe if it was a woman doing it he'd do something about it. Pathetic.

Respectfully disagree. Sometimes in sport, there is something fundamentally mammalian at work, and it's very influential in the mindset and passion of both teams moving forward.

I don't like hockey, but I understand their institutionalized goonery. I don't think the NBA needs that, but a simple hard foul on Love or getting in his face or both would be completely appropriate. If nothing else, it's for the morale of the team... letting your teammates know you give a crap about them.

Oh let's play harder when they head stomp us. Yeah, and the U.N. is effective at promoting global peace. (Sorry.)

Well we still lost the game so that makes the Love stomp even worse.

It seems like every time the Rockets take a cheap shot Scola is on the receiving end. Derek Fisher and Kobe in the playoffs 2 years ago comes to mind. I guess he's just one of those players that gets under your skin. Absolute trash punk b**** move, nonetheless.

I remember when Josh Howard fouled Yao hard in a playoff game, Bob Sura clotheslined him on the next possession in retaliation when he penetrated through the lane (as a foul of course).

Or when the Sonics fouled Yao hard and he fell down to the floor, and our entire team rushed to Yao's side and started to confront the Sonic who pushed him down.

This is exactly what I mean -- it doesn't have to be ridiculous or over the top. Just show the other team you're not going to take it. If the refs won't take care of the game, you're going to give like you get.

How can no one retaliate on this? Someone could of at least went face to face to Love and talked *****. SMH at the rockets right now. Way to stand up for your teammate

While I would like for someone to punch Love in the face, but this is what I'm saying too. He's one of your best players. He's one of the faces of our franchise. If his teammates don't stand up for him after he got stomped in the face, who the hell will? That was a disgusting, humiliating, and embarrassing act.

Even a win tonight wouldn't reduce the anger I'm feeling right now. If Love doesn't get at least 5 games like Bynum did, I'll be so freakin' pissed. And if there isn't a hard foul the next time we face these bums, it's going to be VERY VERY hard for me to cheer on a team that doesn't have a teammate's back.

The only thing pathetic about the Fisher hit on Scola was Fisher. Not our reaction to it. Our team wasn't going to be stupid and start a brawl with a whole playoff series on the line. Fisher got ejected and that was good enough.

And winning isn't as important as having fun playing :p

It doesn't have to be a cheap shot. It could simply be stopping play and getting into Love's face verbally.

There's a hidden benefit than just sparking up your team. The refs won't change the call but it brings the non-call to their attention. It could also influence how they call the rest of the game. Especially if they feel they need to keep the game under control after missing such an incident.
