Love won't be cheap either, i think Love's production towers over Smith. Smith is better on defense, but i don't know if that's enough.
Garnett was a league MVP and probably should have had more than one. The Timberwolves went from top lottery team to playoff team his rookie season... Putting Love in the same conversation just makes him look worse. The question is not whether or not Love puts up good numbers. The question is how could a great player or even a good player consistently lose over 2/3 of his games? The level of failure Kevin Love has participated is astonishing. How often does an player who has missed less than 10 games and makes the all-star game end up with the worst record in the league? I would venture to say Love is the only one. Definitely the only one recently.
that didn't happen. not that it really matters. it's odd to judge a player purely based on achievements and ignore his teammates. if anything, KG's career is a great illustration to that.
the only guys I really would love to see at out PF position would be Love or Aldridge, then we are a complete team.
I wonder if it had anything to do with also drafting a pg who went 16 and 8 in that, his rookie season
I completely agree with those that say Love is a great player; however, I don't want a guy on our team that is consistently injured and can't play up to his full abilities or play in at least 90% of the games. (See: Yao and McGrady)
I truly believe that this is Morey's main target. We'll sign josh smith in the off-season, pump up his value with our high powered offense, then build a deadline trade package around him and either T-Rob or Dmo/other filler.
Probably the most overrated player in the NBA. Grabs defensive rebounds but is awful on defense. His liability down low is a big reason the Wolves are never any good.
I would also trade your left nut for him to be on the team. He's my favorite current player not in a Rockets uniform. Puthim in one with Harden.... sploosh.
I hope not, Kevin Love is a good player and probably better than Parsons, but he is slightly overpaid while Parsons is one of the best value contracts in the league. I'd rather have a steak than a burger, but if the Big Mac is a dime and the steak is $100, I'd rather the Big Mac. And with the other $99.90, I could probably find steak and a couple lobsters.
trade deadline passed... Regardless, Parsons will only be traded for a legitimate superstar. Parsons is a 24 year old SF, in his second season, averages 15 ppg, 5 rbg, with one hell of a contract.
Per Shoo Rk Player Age Tm MP FG FGA TRB AST STL BLK TOV PTS FG% 3P% FT% 1 Blake Griffin 23 LAC 32.3 7.5 13.6 8.6 3.7 1.3 0.7 2.3 18.7 .551 .158 .663 2 Thaddeus Young 24 PHI 35.5 6.9 13.1 7.8 1.7 1.7 0.8 1.1 15.2 .526 .200 .553 3 Brook Lopez 24 BRK 30.5 7.5 14.3 7.1 0.9 0.5 2.2 1.7 18.8 .520 .766 4 Kevin Durant 24 OKC 38.5 9.0 17.8 7.9 4.6 1.5 1.2 3.4 28.3 .505 .415 .909 5 Chandler Parsons 24 HOU 36.3 5.9 12.2 5.3 3.6 1.1 0.4 2.0 15.3 .485 .393 .709 6 Greg Monroe 22 DET 33.0 6.2 13.0 9.5 3.3 1.3 0.7 2.9 15.9 .480 .000 .682 7 DeMarcus Cousins 22 SAC 31.2 6.4 14.0 10.0 2.9 1.6 0.7 3.0 17.0 .455 .188 .747 8 Ryan Anderson 24 NOH 31.2 6.0 13.7 6.5 1.3 0.5 0.4 1.2 16.7 .440 .394 .846 9 Russell Westbrook 24 OKC 35.4 8.2 18.7 5.2 7.6 1.8 0.3 3.5 23.2 .437 .338 .799 10 Paul George 22 IND 37.7 6.4 15.0 7.8 4.0 1.8 0.6 3.0 17.6 .425 .390 .813 11 Danilo Gallinari 24 DEN 32.5 5.3 12.5 5.2 2.4 0.9 0.6 1.5 16.4 .423 .375 .822 12 Kevin Love 24 MIN 34.3 5.8 16.6 14.0 2.3 0.7 0.5 2.2 18.3 .352 .217 .704
this means that Parsons is one of only 12 players in the NBA that average more than 15-5 and is under 25 years old this season. Additionally, on that list I believe CP shoots less FG attempts than anyone. In my opinion, after Lebron, Durant, Melo, CP is the most attractive SF in the NBA.
