He won't have to play the triangle. Only one team in one 7 game series. And that will be after skating through the weak east.
KG is a freak. That is the best word to describe him. He defends the pick and roll better than any player I've seen and there is also the matter of him leading the league in rebounds, averaging 5 assists a game as well as 20-something points a game. Freak.
I know, what I was saying is that pretty much no other team has a chance while we are still in existence. I think any one of the top 4 teams in the West can easily beat the Celts in 6. Phx, Rkts, Sprs, Mavs.
Nah, it only takes one. And I don't mean one team, I mean one series. Anything can happen in a 7 game series, regardless of how much people want to believe that "ONLY THE BETTER TEAM WINS IN A 7 GAME SERIES"
Not to be a downer, but... KG never got past the first round until the Gorilla w/ the potato sacks came in, and when the Gorilla left, KG never made it to the playoffs again.
If read to be literal, that is the greatest post ever. The mental image will have me laughing randomly for quite a while.
TD's 4 champ rings have different opinion about that, LOL. Get to the final first before even talking that KG is anywhere near TD's jockstrap, at the moment, it's not worth of a discussion whatsoever.
Oh my ... Hakeem must have been a monster. So sad that I didn't get to watch him during his peak statistical years.
Great game against the Raptors today, KG just dominated in OT, 10 pts and the Celtics barely squeaked by the raps. The Celtics are going to be so good in crunch time, KG, Allen, PP are money players. Ray hit the GW 3
Yeah, I watched that entire game. (thank god for the nba league pass free preview) KG was just amazing in the OT. He had an ok game by mid 4th quarter when he had to sit down with 5 fouls. So he played the rest of the 4th quarter and OT with no foul to give. Anyways, he just took over in OT. He was taking Bosh to the basket every postions. At one point he made 4 unbelievable shots in row (including one and1). But Ray Allen was the one who made the game winning 3 with 1 sec left. Celtics won by 3 points in OT. Forgot to mention his one on one defense was also incredible, specially on Bosh.
Can you honestly convincingly argue that if KG was drafted into tim duncan's situation that the spurs would have been any less successful. Duncan is just an average 20/10 guy who has been in a great situation his entire career. He should not ever be mentioned in the same breaths as the hakeems/ shaqs, etc, true superstarts who carried their teams and have the stats to prove it. Duncan averages 17/18 ppg during playoff series during his so-called prime lmao.
Let me start out by saying that nobody, NOBODY hates the Spers* more then I do. But anybody who says KG is as good or better then Duncan is just a crack addict. Duncan is successful because during crunch time you can go to him in the post and he will deliver. KG can't do that. KG is awesome, but maybe you should wait till he can at least lead his team to one Finals before comparing him to Hakeem/Shaq/Duncan. 4 championships is 4 championships. Sheesh...sometimes I wish people would stop drinking the haterade and think before they post. Now excuse me as I have to go shower. Speaking positively about Spers* and Duncan makes me feel extremely dirty.
It's Okay man to hate your team rivals, it's even expected & respected -any Inter Milan fans who talks nicely about AC Milans player might also take a shower like you did. But to simply use stats as a measurement of greatness would only show what kinda BBall fan of you. I bet my rear if TD was drafted by the Wolves, his personal attitude won't cause so many clashes like what happened with KG, Marbury would love playing with TD -take all the spotlight, TD doesn't give a ****. Sczerbiak will be 10x more effective offensively, as he's happy & would have plenty of open looks with TD's roaming downlow.
R0ckets03, that comment is not directed toward your post, sorry if my post's kinda unclear about that.
Hakeem? I thought he was talking about Buck Johnson... Just kidding. Those are some insanse stat lines. I don't think very many people have ever even come close to those numbers. Maybe 3 or 4 in NBA history, if even. Anyways, KG is good, but I don't know if he'll ever win a ring. It's pretty crazy how they can rely on KG all game to score, defend, and rebound, and then PP and Ray Allen are money shooters in the clutch. THAT is scary, not the overall team. The fact that KG has proven to carry a team all game, and then when his weakness comes (the clutch) you've got the guy with the sweetest stroke in the league who is money in the clutch (Ray Allen) to back you up along with another guy who plays well down the stretch (PP). I can't wait for the Rockets to match up with them, or any of the elite teams in the league.
Check out the list here: Quadruple doubles & near-misses The Dream is well represented, as is the Admiral. Clyde has a NICE line from '96 - and Duncan and Shaq pack the stat line in the NBA FINALS!
The C's are killing the Nuggets so far. Halftime, Celtics 77, Nuggets 38. Garnett line so far, 14, 10, 5. He might not play too much in the second half so his stat line won't be too impressive.
