One way or the other, what he did tonight wasn't proof. I would have hugged McHale too, especially after the tragic mass shooting in CT, I'd have hugged everyone. Then I will still think McHale is an incompetent/bad/lousy coach.
He would not be a human if he didn't do that with the close relationship he had with McHale. As a Hall of Famer, did you see his hands on the chest of almost every Rockets player passing him? And I am not talking about the one he was guarding.
And gave him 200 million bucks. Garnett has stated that McHale is like a father to him. From a player standpoint, no one in the NBA exemplifies what McHale wants in a basketball player more than Garnett.
are people so newb now that they don't know anything about anything? what's next? people don't get it if Dr Dre and Ice Cube gave each other hugs?
Not sure why this would be considered classy or trashy lol. They two obviously knew each other for a long time and have a good relationship...its called the normal thing to do when a friend has lost someone important.
KG always has his moments when he picks on other players but it seems like its always on court. Whenever the media asks him questions about another rival or an ex-teammate he's never shy about trashing them or what not. I'm sure in person he may be a decent human being but seeing as how I've never met the guy. Most Houston athletes I've encountered always seem like good decent people, I doubt KG is any different.
Garnett is an old school type of NBA player. He might be a trash talker and seem like an ass on the floor but you have to respect him for his passion. I think it was the great Brian Scalabrine that said if you don't at least respect KG for his passion, than you don't really love basketball.
