I must be in the minority who enjoy Garnett's antics on the court. The guy may be seem like an a-hole, but you can't blame him for lack of passion, which is what alot of these nba players lack on an nightly basis, including players on our team (Patterson). These are also the type of guys who are most loyal and sincere off the court, who wear their heart on their sleeve, look no further than the embrace between he and Garnett. I'd rather be on Garnett's side than with the guy judging his character from afar, who does nothing particularly productive and just criticizes others.
He's still the biggest piece of **** in the nba, regardless of this. A stopped clock is right twice a day
he is a punk but he's close with mchale. mchale drafted him in Minny and I'm sure they still have a strong relationship
As much as I hate Garnett, I have to give him credit. Dude has the old school mentality and pride in his team. He's not the kind to be buddy buddy with Lebron or Durant cause to him, they're the enemies. Nice to see him comforting McHale. Still hate him though.
I mentioned this on another thread so I'll just post it here. Classy move by Garnett. Never understood the hate on Garnett. I have alot of respect for him. In a league full of p*****s, where rival players don't want to compete against each other, but rather create super teams, Garnett is man amongst boys. He is old school. Shows loyalty to his team and would never team up with his rivals. Truly, the last of a dying breed.
Clutchfans is as passionate about their hatred for Garnett as he is for basketball and his team. I can't think of any reasons to hate him, though.
lol this is no George W. Bush definition of what is only good and only bad Guys have two sides... he is still a b*stard on the court
He has done some terrible tthings for all I know he probably said something like "I'm glad your daughter died" then McHale started crying. Its KG I wouldn't be surprised
they mentioned on an emotional night like today, this might be the one thing people remember about the night the Rockets beat the Celtics in Houston. their commentary, like Garnett's actions towards Coach McHale, were classy and delivered with tact and grace. unlike this post below.
Whether you like Garnett or hate him, it was a nice gesture. It certainly seem to render a measure of comfort to McHale over the loss of his daughter. Can't fault Garnett for that.
Greg Smith said KG was classy to him tonight: http://www.csnhouston.com/basketball-houston-rockets/talk/greg-smith-impresses-again McHale gets pretty dirty on the court once a while, too:
