35.4 PPG, 10.4 RPG, 5.8 APG, 51% FG, 63% TS in 5 games without Westbrook. I expect those numbers to take a steady decline over the course of the series and the Grizzlies to still win in 5 or 6 games.

He was great today and a lot of fun to watch; but we still needed him to go for 35-15-6-2-1 on 50% shooting to eek out a 2-point come from behind win at home. As great as he is, I don't expect him to do that every game.

I'm not surprised by anything he does. If not for lebron he would have 3-4 MVPs himself. And should get a little better over the next several years.

And then if Durant goes cold the team is guaranteed a loss.
People do not give enough credit to Russell Westbrook.

While I obviously wish Westbrook was still healthy so we could possibly go back to the Finals, I'm admittedly enjoying watching Durant in this new role. It's the first time since Westbrook's rookie season he was truly the only consistently legit scoring threat. And now we're getting to see him in this role in his prime and he's not disappointing.

Westbrook is a great 2 guard but no point guard. Watching this version of Durant is really fun boy its really easier now that his not playing against the rockets

This "version" of Durant wouldn't hold up over an 82 game season. Probably won't even hold up the next 4 games.

true but i think they'd be better suited with a player that is less ball dominant.

still a star but a distributor PG type

    Durant
    Chandler
    Lin
    Beverly

Even with Westbrook, if Durant is cold, then it is much harder for the Thunder to win.

But the real question is what can you get for Westbrook? Of course there's no way Presti or the Thunder pursue anything seriously, but it's an interesting question hypothetically.

I think this is good for Durant, learn to widen his game which he has. Made some good decisions with the ball but has to try and find more shots for himself in the second half especially at the ridiculous clip his going at.

He needs to say stuff it with passing and just look for his own shot, my god their team is stinking it up everyone not named Jackson.

I just hate Fisher and Martin for showing up in our series my god these guys are bad in the long run.

They could have had cp3 when he wanted out.

    How about Curry??

I just don't think they are that talented of a team anymore without Westbrook, they certainly aren't disciplined or well coached like the Bulls who can get away with less talent.

Their only hope is if Durant goes nuts!

I would never trade Westbrook for CP3 anymore or Steph Curry.

I would trade for Curry now if it wasn't for his ankles, he is definitely more skilled as a player.

Then again with the way Westbrook plays and coming off knee surgery is not exactly good for long term.

CP3 would have been good 2 season ago... He is still a stud now atleast for the next 3-4 years.

Who knows how long Westbrook will be good especially with his play style, could easily spin off like Francis type. Also I really don't like him for this team.

    distributing point guards are overrated.

thunder need another scorer and westbrook is a scorer that takes pressure and responsibility off durant.

I'm a KDOF. I latched on to him about game 10 of his freshman year at UT.

Regarding WB, I'm a realist that believes he gets way too much grief. I never hated him. When you see a guy improve so much from his rookie year onward because he works as hard on his game as anyone, it's hard to be a hater. Sure enough, he does crazy stuff that hurts them sometimes. But WB is an essential part of their team dynamic. He holds guys accountable, brings the same intensity and energy to each and every game no matter what (unlike KD), takes a HUGE amount of pressure off KD and brings an edge and nastiness the Thunder need.
