Not sure if this is up. Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant is getting tired of the nicknames bestowed upon him. He was never a big fan of the ‘Durantula’ moniker, but dealt with it. Little did he know how much worse they’d get (at least in his mind) as Durant rejected both ‘Iceberg Slim’ and ‘Slim Reaper’ nicknames, hinting he wasn’t a fan of either (he went as far as to say he hated Slim Reaper). So the question begs – given Durant isn’t a fan of any nicknames given to him by the media or fans, what would he nickname himself? The Servant. Yep – that’s what he came up with and told Bill Simmons of ESPN. Why, you ask? Well, I’ll let Durant explain below, but he suggests because he’s always serving up his teammates, it would be a good nickname. Good nicknames are rare these days. No matter what Durant likes, none of those will ever be on the same level as the Biracial Facial (Blake Griffin), Corey "Bad p*rn" Maggette, or my personal favorite, Joel "Ghostface 'Billa" Przybilla.
I think LeBron James of all players can call himself whatever he wants within reason. If Kevin Durant picked a better nickname, I wouldn't be b****ing at him. But wtf. The servant? That seems like such a beta nickname. If LeBron called himself the servant I think he'd get absolutely BLASTED on twitter for days and days. Durantula. Just rolls off the tongue.
Yeah he earned it recently, thru his entire career everyone called him "King James" almost mockingly, including the media.
kobe gave himself a nickname which was kinda wack too They should just ask Shaq to give him one and leave it at that. He could do better than the servant but KD claiming to love God is im sure his main reason for not wanting to be associated with a name of death
