I'm not saying you're wrong, but they were only healthy together for less than 20 games. And in those 20 games, the defense was sucky, but the offense was probably GOAT level. We'll never know what would have happened if they were healthy. They were a bucket away from beating the championship Bucks in game 7 and they were already injured by then.
Of course Durant is better than bridges. But they gave away picks 8 years from now. If they don't win it this year it's a bad trade. CP3 and KD both old and injury prone now. It could blow up in their face. Those suns picks are probably gonna be really good picks down the line. just wished they traded Ayton instead cuz I want to see CP3 win a ring. But ayton is an overpaid liability.
Ayton has put up 24.14, and 2 in the last 10 games...something like that. 60% from the field and 76 % from the stripe.
correlation doesnt mean causation buddy! any pick can be great....stop living in the the past..its not 40 years ago....every pick is the top pick nowadays...talent pool is wider and all the kids in the world have entire basketball at disposal of a click oth sengun green is wonderfull example of a confirmation bias working in favor of making more stars and champions out of the top picks in comparison to later picks the top picks get more chances, more opportunities, more playing time and more benefit of the doubt so of course they succeed more... and the later picks, they are being denied and put down time and again even if excelling... nothing to do with the talent, ability or production just biases
HAHAHA! TRUE BALLERS KNOW! i would put durant on gsw move here as well...still needed cp3 injury and scott foster to bail them out vs the beard and the chuckers won just 1 legit title
It's a risk they were willing to take, but the current Suns roster is better than it was before the trade. They want to win a championship. This gives them the opportinity to win this year and next (at least) if CP3, Durant and Booker stay together. Not to mention Ayton. If it doesn't work out and they decide to blow it up, they have the trading pieces to rebuild if needed.
Must be nice for Phx. They have ownership and front office that goes all in. Whether they win it all or not, the organization went for it and that cannot be questioned This is the year to do it too with the range of teams capable of winning being so wide open
Literally happened recently that they have good FO lol. Thank goodness for the ownership change on their end lol.
Brooklyn like the Clippers and Lakers are known to chase older stars and players. Was it worthwhile their time, they'd answer yes every time. It is harder to rebuild once you are stuck in that loop. Many people here think ill of Joe Tsai but he at least has shown immense flexibility and adaptive qualities.
LOL @ Durant - the guy is so desperate to validate his legacy as one of the greats of all-time but he can't stay healthy and he needs lots of help to win a championship (see the Warriors).
It's not over yet, let's see what moves they make in the future, but losing Durant made our picks more valuable.
This is exactly what I was talking about in the other thread. Durant just can't stand to be criticized, rofl.
