But yeah, players have too much power these days.

Especially with their choice of where they want to be traded.

Completely kills smaller market teams that draft well, but then their star causes drama and wants out.

Yes and I think that’s what he means. However the lottery balls fall, we got 2 separate chances and whichever lands #1 by luck then we get Victor.

It is. But if the Rockets and Nets both wind up in the lottery, you can combine our odds with theirs for the #1 pick since we can swap with them.

Even if we don't land Wemby, this is amazing news for the Rockets. First, depending on how bad Brooklyn is this season, we could maybe try to maximize our win total(i.e. go for the play-in) since we can always swap our way into the lottery. Second, if the Nets implode, it's gonna benefit us for years, not just in 2023.

If we fail to get #1 and nets get it we just swap our lower pick :D

I had posted this in the earlier Nets pick thread, but here it is again...

2022 - Nets pick which became Eason
2023 - Houston OR Brooklyn first-round pick, whichever is higher (no protection)
2024 - Nets pick (no protection)
2025 - Houston OR Brooklyn first-round pick, whichever is higher (no protection)
2026 - Nets pick (no protection)
2027 - Houston OR Brooklyn first-round pick, whichever is higher (no protection)

I like this too. Let the Nets be trash and let our Baby Rockets grow together and fight for the play in.

Ben “my brain and my back” Simmons, Ayton, and Bridges plus old and limited role players

at best that’s fighting for a play-in spot if everyone comes together and they become that stereotypical overachieving regular season team that would get demolished in a playoff series…and that’s at best

What made kd request for a trade?

Was it kyrie playing only part time that made harden bail first?

    Harden bailing?

The trade that have fragile mental ben simons?

Nets playing hard ball on kyrie?

Thunder have a top 10 protected swap with the Rockets in 2025, but we can swap the pick they give us with Brooklyn's if they convey the swap too.
