Why would any sane person look at any athlete as an role model, they are famous because they are good at putting a ball into a basket, not for anything else.
People do this all the time, it happens, I won't fault him, but you live with the consequences. The reality is that if he did cheat it is going to have an impact that will be difficult to overcome. The fans, his teammates, the competition, the wife, the family, friends, all things to deal with daily and all people impacted. It will make winning the championship more difficult. If he was dating, should not be a big deal in the long run. If he was engaged, a slightly bigger deal, but 1-2 years to overcome assuming he get's out of the relationship. If he's engaged, and wants to remain engaged, could be a career changer, but at least 3-4 years to recover.
