NBA and basketball are serious business yo! Joking aside, with CF chock full of trolls and r****ds like JCDenton, humor is a bit dry.
I believe that was the mindset McGrady adopted, which I think only exacerbated his back issues and caused a huge drop-off in athleticism. When you're that lengthy and athletic, you don't need the bulk.
Yep. This. Mac was amazing when he was skinny. He started bulking up his 2nd year in Houston which I think somewhat led to his injuries and in the long run, to his downfall.
Yea he was on the roster.....but Yao was broken half the time and McGrady was broken the other half. So that really doesn't count. When McGrady didn't have his injury plagued years, he didn't have anybody on the team near the level of a Westbrook or even a Green. (who could stay on the court for more than 50 games)
and...Mcgrady almost led his Magic team past the Pistons early in his career. Thats when McGrady was the young hot next big thing like Durant. **** happens. It's hard to tell, guys start getting tons of money and just become content with where they are at in their lives. Not like there is anything wrong with it though. Others like Hill just have had too many injuries. Tmac was a combination of that. He was content with his skillset and the injuries didn't help him.
