IIRC, Bush did "apologize" though it was one of those politician-type apologies that really don't mean anything.
Um, how to break this to you... It was not a "leftist" poster who made a sarcastic barb about the f-word being presidential, and the "p***y" here is the Bush staffer calling out Kerry. So I'm glad to hear you'll be supporting Kerry from here on.
Card was on a rampage over the weekend... "I think it's a moot point." --White House Chief of Staff Andy Card on whether pre-war claims about Iraq's WMD capacity were "faulty."
Thanks. I'm glad you agree that the same guy criticizing Kerry is saying that one of the reasons things are f***ed up is a moot point is relevent ot the topic. (Kudos to anyone who can diagram that sentence!)
I'm not sure I see the big deal. I get that Senators and Presidential hopefuls don't usually drop f-bombs publicly, but I couldn't care less that Kerry cusses in Rolling Stone. Who cares what language he uses -- what does he *really* have to say?
It is presidential to use it in front of a 4 year old girl like Bush did, but it's not presidential to use it in a magazine dedicated to Rock & Roll.
Why does this matter? Why do I care? Oh yeah...I don't. If anybody bases their vote on this, then it says a whole lot about the populace.
"When I voted for the war, I voted for what I thought was best for the country. Did I expect Howard Dean to go off to the left and say, `I'm against everything?' Sure. Did I expect George Bush to f*ck it up as badly as he did? I don't think anybody did." This dog won't hunt. Anybody paying attention would know that GWB was wondering off of the War on Terror trail.GWB announce the Aix of Evil (tm) in his SOTU address, which showed GWB was without a clue about diplomacy, foriegn affairs, and unfortunately the War on Terror. Bottomline is that Kerry should have known better.
