i used to be much better about it...didn't miss a morning without my morning paper...watched the news...but since i've started working, in particular, that's all tailed off. and then when i get home in the evening after fighting battles all day, i'd much rather spend time with my wife and son then watch the talking heads...
Six years ago, on the Senate floor, Kerry indeed urged the ouster of Saddam Hussein, citing faulty information. He should definitely be held accountable for this. But Bush took this faulty (six-year-old) information, exaggerated it, spun it, forced it down our throats, and used it to justify the slaughter of thousands of people and invasion of a sovereign nation that has jeopardized world cohesion -- all for political and monetary gain. Kerry's misstatements are sad, but Bush's actions are despicable.
keep in mind, bush and kerry haven't been the only ones to say he has WMD...we had inspectors coming back saying he did...many were saying so during the buildup to the war just a few months back..we had clinton calling him a threat to national security...saying his buildup of WMD MUST be stopped. was it all political?? or were these guys given faulty information?? or is none of that right?? did each of these guys, given the information they had at the time, legitimately believe that he had WMD? or...even still...is it possible he did and spent the last year working to dispense them around the world?
