Please. There wasn't an uptick in AQ membership until we left Afghanistan and invaded Iraq. Everyone, including the Islamic communities, was behind us during the invasion of Afghanistan when we were taking out people that were a threat not only to the US, but to the rest of the world too. 3 weeks to respond to Taliban attacks is a pretty horrid response for a country we are supposed to be in control of, don't you think? According to those stats, the rise in home ownership dramatically increased under Clinton and has only risen slightly since Bush took office, no doubt because of the historically low interest rates which Alan Greenspan controls, not GWB. And once the war broke out, an intelligent leader would have rescinded the tax cuts to pay for the war rather than increasing the deficit for future generations to pay. I have said it before and I will say it again, I would rather have a tax-and-spend Democrat than the borrow-and-spend Republican we now have. I would REALLY rather have a Republican who is actually a fiscal conservative as opposed to the spend like a drunken sailor Republican that is in the White House. Yes, of course I have (Bush in '88). I would much rather vote for a fiscal conservative, but since there isn't one on the ticket this year, I will have to vote based on the War on Terror, tax policies, deficit reduction, education, healthcare, and the economy.
Just wondering...How would housing ownership ever go down? If we keep building houses, even just a few, older houses are worth less and and are easier to buy till a at some point the man with the dancing monkey could afford something. Of course that is an exageration and older homes can and do appreciate mostly because of their more convient locations but the point is as long as you keep building houses, ownership will go up. Even if you stop totally it wouldn't go down (except if a hurricane blows some away) carry on.
