Damn straight. besides yao and tracy, duncan, james, wade and dirk are the only other legit franchise players. dewight howard deserves a mention.
The part about Memphis wishing it were in the Southeast division is rhetorical at best. It's true the Grizzlies play more games within their division but the fact is that their overall record is what places them in the playoffs not their divisional standings. At any rate, he gave due props to the Rockets...so I'll stop the ranting about his unconvincing argument here.
Wow Im surprised too!! I guess now he knows no to talk crap about rockets cuz if he does most likely he will be WRONG!!
Wasnt aware that a dunk equaled a playoff win. Perhaps Gasol should have tried some of that in playoffs. But everytime I have seen him play in playoffs, he is either being bullied or he is whining. How many playoff games have Gasol and Memphis won again?? That's right, keep your fingers tucked in.
That's not a very good one... let me help memphisX answer this, how many playoffs games have both Yao and T-mac won???
Well Yao has 5 playoff wins, i think. 2 against the Lakers, 3 against the Mavs. But tmac, hmmm 3 against the mavs, 3 against the pistons, 1 against the BUcks, I say 2 against the hornets. I'm not sure if i'm right about the last two though, but that's a lot more than ZERO.
Famous last words: "I am finally going to know what the 2nd round feels like!" T Mac After being up 3-1 vs. Detroit in the 1st round. Also see 114-74 and 2 All Stars in the lottery...
Not sure what your diversion to Tmac is going to accomplish because I will be the first one to critisize Tmac where he needs to be. He losses focus at times and needs to be mentally stronger. Anyone GM in NBA would still take a half-hearted Tmac or a "slow" Yao over a Cream Puff Gasol. The question is...What does that have anything to do with your team stuck with a $$$ player who has yet to win ONE playoff game in the postseason? I mean come on...even the worst of the worst teams sometimes manage 1 or 2 wins over much superior teams. And Memphis wasnt exactly completely overmatched. They had Gasol and a good mix of role players around him. But what happens everytime? Gasol fails to perform and becomes just another role player. Yeah I am sure Jerry West is having a great time "postioning" the Grizzlies around Gasol. How many years has he been working on this positioning now? And you say that Memphis fans will have to suffer another year before they can even see some hope? Sounds like an apology in advance. It might be warranted though, judging from their failures in past.
