Kerr on Thursday morning: we just don't have any minutes for him. Maybe some will open up eventually.

Kerr on Friday evening: wanna start and play 26 minutes?

Didn't have any minutes for Bell specifically because of Kevon Looney.

After watching both guys tonight (and prior games also), anybody with an ounce of sense knows Bell is a much better player than Looney.

It will be interesting to see what happens going forward.

Bell signed a two year contract so, if i'm not missing something he'll be available to get a posion pill contract, which is something i don't think the Warriors would be able to match since Klay and Draymond are going to expire in a couple of years.

The thing is if a coach has the hardware then people can say trust the system it works. I guess people forgot but Marc Jackson had the same core and GSW couldn't even reach the playoffs, Kerr with the same core+Bynum and Iggy won a ring.

In MDA's case for example, his teams have a track record of smashing the regular season and then flaming out in the playoffs. Of course people will flip out if MDA benches the rookies and sticks to a 7 man roster the entire regular season. That's because they can see the trend and predict what will happen in the playoffs.

The real reason Kerr is trying to hide him. ;)

Wow...you're right. I thought it was a joke, but they did pay Felicio $32 million. So you can't say they were trying to save money!

And then they needed the roster spot for great prospect like Paul Ziper, Klay Felder, David Nwaba....

I thought the Devil is giving back for all the great years the Bullsfan enjoyed with the Jordan year.

Not to defend the trade at all (especially for just cash), but isn't their 7th pick, 20yr-old Lauri Markkanen starting at PF and doing very well?

In hindsight, you keep Bell as well. But due to Markkanen (and don't forget 22yr old Portis at PF), I can see them trading 23yr old Bell on draft night, just not for cash only...that was weird.

I've always deferred to the coaches as well. I always mocked the "Free Squid" and "Free KJ" movements. The coaches see these players in practice everyday, we don't. It seems like every coach gets criticized for not playing certain young players, even when they're playing other players that are equally young. But when you're fresh off of two championships everything is golden.

Looks like Steve Kerr has finally surrendered to the inevitable. At some point, you can't worry about hurting the feelings of players like Kevon Looney and JaVale McGee. Gotta let a guy like Bell work out the kinks during the season so he can be ready in April.

What a difference a few days can make.
