Too bad because if he could continue to be tall and walk down the court he could have gotten a 5 year $50 million deal.

Among those who might receive consideration is Keon Clark.
Clark's claim to fame is his quickness. According to one sports analyst: "Very long. Outstanding athleticism. Huge wingspan. Has a good face-the-basket game. A dunk waiting to happen. Excellent shot blocker. Ugly shooting mechanic. Quite effective from 14 feet. Not the greatest hard worker in the world. Since he is 6-11 and only 220 pounds, his game -- quickness -- is imperiled with each injury. (He aleady looks like Manute Bol on the Sudanese diet.) Also, JVG has to be looking at his work ethic. When Clark first came into the league, I thought "Man, here is a guy with heart. For a guy with legs skinnier than my arms, he can really play." But, now, I regretfully look at him as a 29-year-old who has passed his prime. Considering this season's crazed behavior by GMs, why hasn't he been snapped up? That alone should be cause for concern.
Pardon, I forgot. If reports are true that Alonzo Mourning desires a comeback and if his doctor really has blessed it without any pressure from Mourning, then I'd much rather sign Lo rather than Clark or Mutombo. This opinion, of course, carries with it the caveat that the Rockets' physicians must bless the return 100%.
I would take Clark over Mutombo; but either would be OK. Forget about Mourning, his basketball career is over.
Well, let's see, we have Patrick already, if we get Mutombo, then all we would need would be Mourning and Othella. Then bring in John Thompson as an assistant, and we'll be well on our way to an ALL-KNICKS, ALL-HOYAS HOUSTON ROCKETS!! I don't usually like to ask questions if I don't already know the answer - but how many Georgetown players have NBA Championship rings? And I don't mean bench-scrubbers either. It seems like they are the basketball equivalent of Florida Gators wide-receivers and quarterbacks - hot stuff in college, doomed to never be a big winner in the pros.
Deke and Zo led their teams to the conference finals. A.I. took his squad to the NBA finals. Same with Ewing. It's not like G-town has produced a string of scrubs.
Ewing doesn't count since he is a coach, Othella belongs to Chicago, and I'm thinking in terms of Mutombo or Mourning -- not both. Besides, I'd be happy hyping Hoyas -- even more than Knick-knocking.
How about getting both Keon and Deke? You will never have too many big bodies in the west, and that way we have some options of trades.
