If Les really is serious about contending, he should really consider getting Boozer for Stro + Filler. Sure he is way overpaid, but he can rebound and make open jumpers. Draft the best swingman avaliable, sign V-Span, have Morey trade for an undervalued bench player (like a Raja Bell), get Yao healthy and that's enough to contend. Get T-mac healthy too and that's enough to win the whole damn thing.
KMart has value but is unsuitable for the Rockets. He is just too street 'macho' with a small 'm' and his emotions are unstable.Wrong personality to couple with Yao & McGrady.
are u effin serious. U must be joking. Great Player? 6.3 rpg? Midrange game? Atitude? The salary. Just say no to Martin.
games played JHow: 80 KMart: 49 mpg JHow: 31.7 KMart: 27.6 ppg JHow:11.8 KMart:12.9 rpg JHow: 6.7 KMart:6.3 fg% JHow: .459% KMart:.495% Why do we want to take on his extra years, extra salary, extra baggage and his extra injury proneness for a statastical wash? Yes, he adds some physical play that we need but no way would I take that risk on HIM. Plus we have nothing to offer anyway.
The two types of players I do NOT want to see the Rockets acquire this off-season- 1. injury prone players 2. players that cannot shoot Guess which one Kenyon Martin is.
This is exactly what I was thinking. He brings nothing to the team. tho he is a good player for sure.
man chill out...u are just looking at this season... he didn't want to play for Denver and he had a big injury... u should've seen him last year.. the dude is a monster.. but I still didn't say we should get him.. I just said "if he is going to be good " and i know he aint going to..
