Martin is a good signing, particularly when you take into account the Clippers' upcoming schedule. They have had a relatively easy schedule thus far, especially when it comes to the back-to-backs and such. But that all changes soon. They have 20 games alone just in the month of March.
I don't like this move for the clipps. Its not that I don't like martin as a bench player,but they need a 2/3 and a 4/5 type of player. A guy like jason thompson made more sense. If jordan gets in foul trouble,they're really,really small.Blake isn't a big guy in terms of rim protection. They also need a guy who can play 2/3. A angular type of guy behind butler and chauncey. Butler is off or down, who do they put in?
Totally agreeing with the Clippers need of a swing man with size. As a trade chip, the Clippers still have Eric Bledsoe who showed a lot of promise last year. I think the likely trade partner would be the Phoenix Suns who are loaded at the wings and they need a young point guard to play behind Nash so he could mentor...
