man could you imagine if morey signed this guy instead of splash gordon morey has a had a few close calls swing his way during his tenure here
I haven't watched a lot of Atlanta games, but everywhere Dwight goes there is trouble with spacing. Am I wrong to think Bazemore benefited tremendously from the spacing past Atlanta rosters created and that he'd probably be doing much better in our system?
dwight wants post ups in an era where bigs are shooting jumpers.. he doesnt fit in todays nba. Hell he didnt fit in the 90's.. he is more dennis rodman than hakeem or ewing
My conspiracy theory is we tried to woo Horford by also going after Bazemore. After Horford turned us down, we didnt bother with Bazemore. Hence the semi grudge held by Bazemore. Probably feel he was used, and that we did not have genuine interest in him.
He would if he played how he should play. The guy is asking for post-ups in the wrong era... and if you're going to ask for post-ups, at least be good at post offense! In a perfect world, Dwight would play the Capela role perfectly and be a beast pick and roll man and elite rim protector on the other side. But nope, on this team Dwight would demand that every 3 plays we abandon our dominant efficient offense to give him a back-to-basket post up opportunity... either that or he will stop trying because not being treated like the second coming of Olajuwon on offense makes him "disinterested"... what a joke.
I never thought Bazemore was any good to begin with. I was surprised that the Rockets even tossed that type of number at him. His production greatly decreased after signing that big contract with the Hawks. Bazemore has never been anything more than an average role player. Eric Gordon was slowed by injuries but he is still a gifted scorer and shooter that compliments Harden.
