Y'all need to forget about Kenny. He's not the guy. He didn't want to be a three for Rudy. Larry's a bit more persuasive, I guess.

pgabriel you are reading things into by comment that I was not thinking about!! I never mentioned 'Scoring' I only was refering to heart, determination, effort and the fact that he does so many intangibles. In case you dont know I like James Posey much better. He does the things we needed Kenny to do. I hope we can hang onto him!

Do you seriously think KT would have resigned here, given the fact that he'd have to share time with 2 other PFs?

Given that, even if Posey leaves for more money (and I consider it more likely he leaves over some other roster movement), all we have lost is a 2nd round pick.

I must go cry a river over that 2nd round pick now.

Kenny Thomas plays with a lot of heart and aggressiveness. I haven't seen that from Posey, nor have I seen any "consistent" play from Posey as some of you are saying so I'm scratching my head at all the Posey supporters responding to this post. I think Philly definitely got the better end of that trade. Maybe you could make the argument that Houston wasn't going to resign Thomas, but at this tine none of you can honsestly believe Houston got the better end of that trade.

For the purpose of perspectively, I will like to remind you that Kenny is in his "contract year". Statistically a player's ability (and output) is usually exagerated under this condition. Though Kenny is always an effort guy, one will be advised to be careful with what you see and don't get carried away.

    Remember Kevin Cato

Btw, the trade was not a bad one - just like the Randy Johnson trade of some years back. We had to do what we had to do.

Really? What game are you watching? Both KT and Pos don't show very much emotion on the floor, but watching them on the bench is like night and day. When KT was on the bench he looked like a wedgied zombie. Never smiling, never showing any support. Pos on the other hand is one of the most animated players I've seen. He :gasp: actually gets off his ass and supports his teammates. I see him clapping, hollering, and jumping up to congratulate someone during a timeout.

Please. I know not what you speak of.

Pos has been consistant in every aspect of the game. When I look up, he consistantly has, what, 12 points 5 assists 5 rebounds sometimes even a few steals a game. And he takes charges like a mofo. He's strong and wirey and gets the job done.

Houston got the better end of the deal. There. I said it.

Honestly, I think Kenny Thomas is a little b****.

Yea he could kick my @ss, but that's not the point. I'm seeing that he never liked to stay here in Houston. And I'm pretty sure if we signed him, he was going to ask to be traded anywayz for his attitude around the team. I'm guessing he was an outkast the way he acts. He fits in very well with Philly and i'm glad we got James Posey out of the deal, even though I didn't know his game very well but he seemed to become the only consistant player at the end of the season stretch.

Who is the we?! I dont miss him. I wish him luck on his new team, but I definetly dont miss him. posey was a great addition, now we just need to resign him. 1 more year of Rice's contract. I hope we can bring in a good vet.

Wish we had a 1st round draft pick.

Isn't Posey in a contract year too?

Why is that *not* a knock against him?

I personally think players in contract years should have a huge "Asterisks" sign next to them. In contract years, players seem to some how become the player the management always wanted them to be...next year...they become their old self again. So Posley might have been upping his game because he knows it's contract time...

Man..... I said the trade was a very good one to me... coz we got Posey, a legitimate SF we didn't have in the first quarter of the season.

The point is------- some coaches out there have the ability to change the style of a player whom Rudy can do nothing about.

Kenny wasn't our franchise player and Rudy couldn't coach him. he's gone.

Cat is our No.3 and Rudy seems losing control of him. He's about to be traded.

    Who's next?

Kenny thomas traded was a very bad deal for the rockets based on the results they got from the power fowards they dicided to keep. Even though his number may not have increased this year the intangale things he brought to the team is what stop the rockets from making the playoffs. The help defensive that belled out Steve and Cuttino. Defended out teams top power fowards, did you know Dirk Nowinski only average 13 points a game last year versus the rocket compared to 29 points he averge this year.

Posey made forget about K.T. REAL fast. Those of you saying that if we had kept KT that we would in turn be in the playoffs is outlandish.

I'm pretty sure that when Rudy pulled the trigger on the KT-JP trade, he thought that EG and/or MoT would end up stronger than they did. An "embarrassment or riches" at power forward ended up just as an embarrassment.

"Kenny wasn't our franchise player and Rudy couldn't coach him. he's gone. "

    Anything wrong?

Kenny wasn't our franchise player, was he?

Rudy couldn't coach him (like Larry Brown does, turning him into the type of player we want), could he?

He's gone and we are hunting for a PF. Right?
