i love watching Thomas playing. I think he fits really well with the team that we have. I say that we keep the team we have right now for next season, then make a push for free agents or trades after the next season is over.

FROM THE CHRONICLE ARTICLE ABOUT THE ATLANTA GAME:

    Special K

Kenny Thomas had 14 points and 13 rebounds Saturday night, his second straight double double and his fourth double-digit rebound effort in five games.

"I've always been able to rebound," Thomas said. "The points are coming along. On this team I think rebound more than I do anything else, but the shots are coming."

Those shots have been more plentiful since Thomas began starting in place of Maurice Taylor. Taylor was placed on the injured list Thursday, and Thomas has responded with 17 points and 10 rebounds against Seattle and then his 14-point, 13-board effort against the Hawks

    THIS SOUNDS GOOD TO ME!!!

    My sentiments, exactly!

Now some people might say, "Well, Mo is a better shooter than KT, but all he could average was 11 ppg, so why should we expect more from KT?" Because KT's a natural rebounder, and can get the Rocks those ever-important "garbage baskets" moreso than Mo. I would be willing to bet that Kenny could score about 6-8 a game just on tip-ins and putbacks, which would be great.

I must admit, I was one of those who grimaced when the Rocks selected KT, feeling that he would underachieve and be a bust. But I was obviously wrong on KT.
