Kenny was OK for Rox. I was sorry he left, but felt (feels) Rox got better end of the deal. KT is just not worth this must angst.
You bring up valid points. But Kenyon Martin spends a lot of his time on the perimeter guarding SGs or SFs, therefore he's not in prime position to rebound. I just wonder how Kenny suddenly is rebounding like Dennis Rodman, when he was just an average to below rebounder for the Rockets. Contract motivation perhaps?
You mean like the second half of the season DISAPPEARING ACT they put on without him????? Rocket River
So you obviously think Kenny's improved play (not that he didn't play well for us) is to a large extent the result of how he's used by Brown. Does this speak volumes about the coaching in Houston and/or is it the players now around KT? Or is Brown just doing a better job. It's got to make you wonder. As far as the contract thing goes, Kenny was already playing for a contract. And he obviously wanted it with Houston. If Posey doesn't resign with the Rockets, it makes it pretty hard to justify the trade... considering the results. (unless we get struck by some unbelievable luck)
Kenny alone would not be helping us. The scenario I brough up had Rashard Lewis going here so it would be a combined effort of those two.
Are we going to have to go through the every time Kenny Thomas has an above par EC game? For cryin' out loud...it's the Boston Celtics...the only team in the NBA who plant more players on the 3pt line than the Rockets and whose opponents outrebound them 45 to 40. The Celtics are an Eastern Conference 6th seed playoff team, people...and their oppenents on average outboard them! How come nobody wants to talk about the 6 point, 5 rebound, 3 TO game KT had against the Kings 4 days earlier? Or that the ancient Tyrone Hill got more 1 more reb & 1 fewer point in 9 fewer minutes the night following the Celtic game? I'm sorry but... EG/MoT + Posey > KT/EG/MoT + Rice
at least we are discussing it in NBA Dish now. Kenny play-by-play is getting tiring in the GARM. btw: freaking Zach Randolph!! My word. 31/20.
Gater they are out rebounded 45 to 40 christ thats quite the disparity, I am suprised they have even won that many games with those rebounding numbers.. . . . .. . I think that Kenny fits the mold of what Brown in building in Philly. a 3/4 that plays D gets rebounds and scores occasionally. Good for KT. He foudn a place that puts his talnets to use.
