He was at Vince's charity game in Toronto, he looked to be in A LOT better shape than ever before. He's lost a lot of weight, gained some muscle and is running the floor very well.

Just thought I'd let u all know

Well if hes in even better shape then he was last year. I'm glad to see he is still working out hard.

It looks like he knows he won't get much time at pf and wants to become our sf. I remember when we first drafted him, everyone thought he was lazy because he was kind of chubby but now he's slimmed down a whole lot and it's helped his game tremendously. I think this shows a lot about the kind of player he is and it would be wise to keep him.

loogie, as I recall, you are a traveler on Internet bball BBSs. Are you a Rocket's fan? Do you realize the biggest story in our camp before last season was the shape Kenny was in and how much baby fat he lost and how ripped he was.

I don't know if him losing weight is a good thing over his playing weight last year. imo, he was in perfect shape.

Are you sure he has lost weight??

If he has extended his range, then shedding a couple of pounds makes sense from a SF standpoint. If he still plans on getting the bulk of his minutes at the 4 however, I would be carefull about getting too slight.

the best way to explain his shape was around Jerome Williams size with a bit bulk on the legs.

Last time I saw him in person was Houston vs Toronto at the ACC this year, he is now more ripped and has lost more fat.

In terms of running the floor, he was quicker than Brand and Zo, around the same as Newble and Jerome Williams, so he probably is betting on time at the 3 and 4.

i like kenny at the 3. he adds rebounding along with griff at both foward spots. that should come in handy if ming turns out to be a little soft on the boards this season.

offencively, kenny can post up on all of those small fowards. if they decide to put a bigger player on him to avoid that, then he drives to the basket. also, moT and griff take advantage of ther new found mismatch.

p.s. (to kenny) gain some range!!!

I forgot who it was but someone said a overweight ,out of shape, coming off a serious injury Taylor destroyed Thomas in pick up games. I didn't believe it then and i sure in hell doesn't believe it now.

Kenny is the new Mario Ellie. People always talk about the need for tough role players. Well here he is.

Another thing, Rudy has commented off and on since his rookie year about how tough KT is mentally.

Or a guy who will be a restricted FA next year... KT will not be a Rocket in 03-04. He will be playing next year to showcase himself for big bucks as a FA.

Except that Kenny isn't much of a leader, or a defensive stopper. Other than that...
