Derrock, Denver has just given up. They are going to be in the front running in getting Lebron James. And then Lebron is going to do a Stevie Franchise move and get the HELL out of DENVER!!
Where did you derive that? When you woke up from your coma?!? I'm going to miss KT also. He was one of those Rudy players who wasn't really a big name, but came out each and every night earning his $$$...
Granville, I don't think it is going to matter when Denver uses that pick. We have a really young team who is going to thrive in the next 2-3 years. Giving up Kenny was hard, but Posey was the missing puzzle piece that the Rockets needed.
The point is, you asked somebody to document his assertion about Mo and then you make your own unfounded statement about KT and others in the same paragraph. If you call people out for the truth (evidence/documentation), then the truth better not be a stranger to you.
This I agree with. He should be the 12th man on the team and should just rot in the NBDL. He just doesn't fit on this team right now. He needs to convert into more of a banger than a swingman.
I understand. I know KT's a hard worker, and I did not intend that to slight him in the least. I wasn't thinking about him all when I said that quote... but rather the average NBA player. And, there are a lot of NBA players (see Cato's comments on how crazy Mobley is to be in midseason shape at the beginning of October) that would never be seen in a gym in the offseason. I don't think KT is one of them, but there are a lot of them out there.
I wasn't expecting Kenny Thomas to be traded but I'm not entirely surprised.Kenny was our best power forward.I admired his toughness and defense, his rebounding and his desire to win. I'm going to miss him. I think Mobley's ankle injury and the fact that we probably were going to lose him at the end of the season determined the deal.Mo-T and Griffin also needed more minutes. We are going to miss KT he was our insurance against Mo-T going down or not being able to play well. Both of the power forwards are going to have to step up especially Mo-T. I do welcome the addition of Posey to the team and I get the feeling that he will probably agree to stay with the team next year as well because he won't have to look out for as many shots as he did with the Nuggets. He also is a good defender. I hope this trade works out well for the Rockets but I wish the best for Kenny except against us. I would like to salute Kenny tonight,he played like a true Rocket should.
Enjoy Posey at 3 while we can, Because I relly don't think he will stick around next year but he is a true small forward with "D".
Such a great great great deal. Personally, I had nothing against KT. I just thought he was (and is) too short to play PF, and didn't play the style of basketball we're looking for. Posey is a brilliant addition to our team. He'll be a tremendous sparkplug off the bench, and his addition solidifies our bench as one of the best in the league. Mobley and Rice will be more effective, for sure. Some players lose out on this deal: T-Mo was getting decent minutes. Bye Bye. Boki wasn't getting minutes THEN, so we can safely wave BYE BYE. Hawkins was our backup 2 and also getting decent minutes. BYE BYE. To tell you the truth, I have no clue why Posey is considered better than Hawkins. Hawkins can shoot the same percentage as Posey and ha better defense. Maybe it's the age thing? But can we afford to keep Posey long-term? Overall, great deal. I think Denver think they're getting Lebron.
What do you think guys?? To have 5 SF of 15 players??? Thats the dummest thing that could ever happen!
We're stuck with Rice every game. That tells you a lot. I don't watch him much, but Posey averages 14 ppg, 6 rpg and 3 apg. It ain't that bad.
Are you being sarcastic or making the worst comment of the year? We do have 5 SFs but 2 can play SG SF Rice SF/SG Posey SF Nachbar SF Morris SF/SG Hawkins It's better to look at it from the depth chart: PF Griffin Taylor SF Rice Posey Morris Nachbar C Ming Cato PG Francis Moochie SG Mobley Posey Hawkins Yeah, we got a log jam at SF but it's not like the log jam at PF before. Like Sane said before, Morris, Nachbar, and Hawkins can kiss most of their minutes goodbye. I think one of them may get 5-8 minutes a night, most likely TMo.
Very perceptive, Grega! And, curiously, out of the 5, the one who can actually shoot well will continue to ride the bench.
I was referring to Boki...'steal' of draft, 25 of 27 3-pointers, slashes, plays above the rim....well, you know the hype!
I think T-Mo will get 8 minutes, being 3rd string Small Forward and 3rd string PF. This is a bit unfortunate. I thought Boki would see more PT eventually, but it seems he'll still be unknown by the time next season starts. But the difference is, now we're fighting for hmoe court in the playoffs baby.
