Man TMac sure is the hot topic but seriously this guy is hurt and should not be playing but still plays. I just wish he could be healthy but his recent past history show that he can't. As for tonight's game no way hell do the Rockets lose to Jazz again in HTown. Just Win Baby!!!

I tend to have issue with this comment being used a lot lately. Many, not necessarily DD here, speak as if TMac just got a new 20 mill a year deal. He is nearing the end of a deal that Orlando (?) gave him and we took on. A deal that gets larger and larger each year until it expires. Tracy got this high paying deal when he was one of the top scorers in the league (which he was before his elbow injury and the knee and add the shoulder this year).

The Rockets took on the contract, and I believe Tracy does try. It's all perception. Many believe he's lazy and is not trying. I just see it differently. Be upset about his performance, but to think that he's still worth the salary he earned years ago from another organization and holding him to that I think is a little far fetched.

I'm an avid Tracy fan, but I have my gripes about his performance. I don't once think of his salary though. I hold his performance accountable in reference to his role on this team. That's my take on it.

Finally a decent post. It is Tracy's performance that bothers me, and should bother everyone else too. I love reading these morons talking about how lazy TMac is and how much more he should be doing to get prepared or reach that next level. Of all people, Kenny Smith is grading athletes? I don't recall Kenny being able to hit the broad side of a barn as a guard. How exactly did he elevate his game? And if you want to bring up that game winning shot against the Magic I say this, "Throw enough crap against a wall and something is bound to stick". I have a problem with a grown man giving himself a nickname. Kenny the Jet? That's not what we called him while he played here....

But I digress... I guess no one who's read this thread has read the piece discribing TMac's workout program during the season and his program for the off season conditioning. By the way. Those of you who believe a man should earn every penny he makes from his employer, remember that 8 - 5:00pm okay! Let alone doing anything extra...or to make up time for spending hours on the internet.....

Don't be jealous that you aren't a superstar poster.

Did you watch game 2 first half, that's what he's keeping in his reserve tanks. This is what the fans want to see from their superstar.

Except TMac doesn't even try and he gets As. What kind of B student is a two-time scoring champ? ALL TIME top 4 PPG in the playoffs? Just because he has to do term projects with a bunch of C students, doesn't mean he's a B student. They just bring his average down.
    Now, :D .

I am sick and tired of the attack the basket theory. First he is not the same TMac in Orlando AND he is playing with knee injuries which will require surgery. Second, sure he is still quick and athletic but TMac is 6 8" or 6 9"! He has the height of a small forward playing a shooting guard, with quick guards guarding him. Its like asking Yao to take it to the rim and dunk more against Shaq. TMac can't always take it to the rack like shooting guards guys can. Which means his advantage is what? His height, so shoot above the defenders of course.

    so 28ppg, 7rpg, 6apg, 1.5spg, 1bpg in the playoffs is a sign of a "B" student?

damn, what the hell is an A student?

lebron right now is putting up 27, 8, 7 and him and MJ are the only ones with better OVERALL numbers than tmac.

    kobe must be a C student b/c his playoff #s are 23, 5, 5.

people just want to see what they want to see i guess.

he also dominated the 3rd of game 2. but then when u do it all for 3 quarters, u know u can run out of gas right?

notice in game 5, he has the "worst" all-around #s of all the games and guess what, he actually did well in teh 4th. (he didn't have to rebound much - only 5 boards; didn't make a lot of assists - only 5). so if he has help, he'll be "fresher" down the stretch.

sometimes it's best to use "common sense."
