Yes I have an agenda, I expect a guy getting paid $20 million a year to come out, fire flaming from his nostrils and lightning bolts coming out his Arse, and lead the team by effort, passion and leadership.

But at this point I would settle for attacking the basket and making his free throws.

    Your f'ing r****ded.

You don't average a triple double if your not trying. His shot isn't falling and he's having trouble driving to the basket, but dont accuse him of not trying.

    I hate fair weather fans...

good way to start off here........

    I'd have a hard time calling a contributing member with nearly 40,000 posts-'f'ing r****ded, fair weather fan'.......when I only have 18 posts.

I didn't have to be here long before I found all the whining in here unbearable. I apologize for the first post and will delete it, but seriously. You guys are speaking like McGrady raped your mother. He's struggling, OK, but don't make accusations that he's not trying.

When he is in the game, he is doing EVERYTHING. Nearly averaging 10 rebounds, nearly 10 assists (a feat considering how poorly everyone is shooting) and whenever he is not in the game we magically start playing much worse.....which must be Novak's fault right? Couldn't be the fact that T-Mac isn't out distributing and running the offense. Let's not forget that he's INJURED.

I'm ok with people being upset or worried about his game. But when there are countless people calling for a fire-sale because he's had his struggles, I get irritated.

    Once again I apologize.

Oh well it won't let me delete it. So just note that I apologize for my wording there.

    1) It's not a lazy eye, it's Strabismus. Amblyopia (lazy eye) is something different. Amblyopia is when one eye suffers from poor vision even though physically it is normal. Strabismus is when the eyes aren't aligned with one another. If the Strabismus causes double vision, then it can result in Amblyopia in the non-dominant eye but otherwise, the two conditions are unrelated.

    2) I have had Strabismus for most of my life. If you use the eye with Strabismus as the dominant eye, both eyes are able to focus on the same point and depth perception is not an issue. I've actually developed it in my other eye which resulted in double vision (which is being corrected) but even with my eyes misaligned, my depth perception was fine. If it posed a real problem, TMAC would have gotten eye muscle surgery a long long time ago. It's a relatively simple outpatient procedure. I had mine done last year and that's only because I started getting it in my left eye after having it in my right for about 20 years.

Kenny Smith sometimes pi$$e$ me off, but he's right on the money with that one. TMac has all the gifts. But he's lazy, and at his core, doesn't really care. He cares, but he doesn't CARE. And this is why I don't see us going anywhere, even with TMac and Yao healthy at the same time. Tracy has to be on a team with a Killer Instinct Player. Then he can win it all.

T-Mac plays scared in crunch time. His stats shows his talent but not his courage. Jordan once had a flu and still scored 30+. It's will power plus talent. Fatigue and defense are just excuses.

Spot on. Tracy wants to out talent his defenders and when that doesn't work he's not able to out work them because he's never had to do it. He'd rather pass it off than out work his defender for position or out work them to get to the basket.

Show all the stats u want
    Going for 30 pts - 20 rbs - 10 asst
    in a game is great
    but
If you team loses cause you go
1 pt - 0 rbs - 0 asst in the 4th quarter while not playing tough defense

well . . .you did not have a great game

I would rather he had 22 pts . . .with at least 6 in the 4th
than 28 points. . and only 1 in the fourth

No one gives a d*mn if you run 90 meters of a 100 meter dash in record time!!
If you don't make those last 10 meters so that you get the record. . . .well you just an ALSO RAN

    Agreed. Case in Point:

Player A scored 17 points through 3 quarters. Opposing team mounts a comeback and actually ties it up and then leads the game in the 4th. Player A knows it's his time to dole out some punishment. Player A then proceeds to score 14 points on 5/6 shooting in the 4th quarter to lead his team to victory. Player A is now chilling on a plan back to LA to wait for whoever comes out of the Utah/Houston bloodbath.

Last time I checked, running was an individual sport. Would you rather have T-Mac play a weaker first 3 quarters and by then we're losing big going into the 4th, then he has his amazing 4th quarter but we STILL come up short because we've dug ourselves a big hole? Because I'm sorry you can't have both.

You can say T-Mac is averaging a near triple double in the first 3 quarters. For whatever reason, he's burning out in the 4th. You can't just say "ohh he played a good 3 quarters and without it we'd be dead but now to be a
SUPERSTAR or a $20MIL player he needs to have a good 4th as well." If that was the case he's going to be traded this offseason, but I think the front office and the coaching staff have a good idea how he's playing the game, how hard he's trying and working at it, and just how injured he really is.

Running is individual. If you suck, you suck. If you don't win, it's your fault, or your inability, or the level of your opposition.

Unless you do relay. It's hard to compare basketball to relay. T-Mac is like the relay runner with a few kinks in his form but he still runs to an amazing performance overall, but falls short, and doesn't have enough speed on the team to make up for lost time.

Don't want to suck up or anything but nice shoutout tinman.

Oh and let me just say the reason you can't have McGrady going hard for 3 quarters keeping this team alive and then having an amazing 4th to cap it off against fresh, physical defense is because

    1. He's not an ironman to be able to keep up with that. He's just not physical enough.

    2. He just doesn't have THAT fire, maybe he would if he wasn't tired or injured, but as of now it stands that he doesn't have THAT much of a killer instinct/fire.

If you want someone who can, get Kobe or LeBron, or maybe even CP3. No one will say no to those guys, but we can't get them.

My thoughts exactly. You can't ask a guy to do fill every single stat and do everything for 3 quarters, and then call him lazy because he's gassed in teh 4th. Yeah I wish he was Tracy of old who seemed to never tire, but I'm not going to bash him because he's not.

Hopefully next year he can stay relatively injury free and have Yao at his side. That would take an immense amount of strain and fatigue off his shoulders, and would greatly improve his performance.

Although that quote maybe true earlier in TMAc's career, it's completely false now. Tracy has played the best he can; he is just quite as good as he used to be because he's older now.
