Kenny Smith holds a grudge against the Rockets like Skip Bayless holds a grudge against James Harden. What is wrong with this guy?
Kenny Smith lost his Houston Rocket card long ago when year after year Barkley and Shaq **** all over the Rockets and he just sits there nodding his head.
Why did Les Alexander Interview Kenny Smith, now he holds a grudge against the Rockets. Great Hire by Les to get Mike DAntoni
Les made the right decision! Any organization that hires Kenny Smith as the head coach would be doomed. His on-tv analysis is much than the other coaches.
My thoughts also... If you want to be a broadcaster / media personality, the worst thing you could do for your career is show any sort of bias or homerism.
Whats weird about it is that skip used to love harden when he was on okc. He routinely said that harden was okcs 2nd best player, he worked better with durant, and that okc should get rid of westbrook Youd think he’d want to cash in on being ahead of most of the media on that one, but nope. He decided to hate harden after his first playoff disappointment.
Kenny Smith is a fair weather fake fan. He'll rock clutch city if we get out of the wcf, then pretend like it was his team all along. Chuck is different this season. Kenny is the same damn sellout fool he's always been.
I don't remember him hating this much during the Yao-McGrady years. Even wore a Rockets blazer during an entire broadcast once.
They make me want to scream! Kenny more than any because, for some reason, i expect more from him... Someone should tell him how we had multiple double digit win streaks this year and played a very different style in each of them. In the first one we were near the top in pace, the second one we were near the bottom. They simply do not know what the hell they are talking about. The worst part is, GS very well may beat us. And if they do these clowns we think they were right, despite the fact that they won't beat us for ANY of the reasons they talk about.
stfu tinman. Go hang out with the has been old timers and re live your glory days. We'll handle the real basketball talk!
This was the final straw for me https://blog.chron.com/ultimaterock...fan-of-current-rockets-after-latest-comeback/ Smith, who played in Houston from 1990-96 and now works as an analyst for Turner Sports, said he rooting for the Rockets once more after Houston’s 19-point Game 6 comeback Thursday night against the Clippers to force Game 7 on Sunday at Toyota Center. “I’m going to have to be honest,” Smith said Friday. “I have not been a Rockets fan in a long time, I have not. I didn’t like the team. I didn’t like the way they played. But having gone back through so many memories of Clutch City, I’m rooting for my Rockets now and I’m calling them my Rockets now. “Everyone assume that because I played for the Rockets that I root for them. I don’t and I didn’t, but I’m rooting for the Rockets. I’ll still be fair on the air, but as a fan, I’m rooting for the Rockets.” I guess he was a fan for one series.
