    Giannis played like an absolute monster in the Finals but people need to give Middleton a lot of credit because he balled out and saved the Bucks more than a few times during their run.

    I'm still in awe of his Game 2 performance even though Milwaukee lost that one. The dude took on the entire Phoenix team by himself.

    Blasphemy!

    Dream played in a mans era and always answered the bell and without the opportunity to shoot 3's at random (I always thought Dream could be an average 3 point shooter with practice and with schematic intent from the game itself). No flaws in his prime he was quite honestly the perfect player. Giannis is not far from that with plenty of chapters left in his book and I wonder can he hit another gear like Dream did at the age 30 season? I'd say Dream was a superior defender while relinquishing some shooting stats just due to the game not evolving to the point where 'big men' were shooting 3's like in todays game and Giannis playing like a big wing vs a traditional post.

    What were your thoughts when Kenny Smith said, on national television, that he was the so-called voice in the locker room, making it seem as though players in said locker room all followed his lead?

    Kenny Smith, the Voice, got saved by THE voice:

    I'm not watching the video.

    But if it isn't a bunch of people laughing hysterically for 30 straight seconds, then sobering up and saying "no, no.... no. Don't ever compare Giannis to Hakeem"

    Then the world is in more trouble than I thought.

    I bet Hakeem would be flattered by the comparisons.

    Giannis doesn't have the foot work of Hakeem, but I believe the comparison revolves around Giannis versatility of being a big man that plays like a guard.

    I think @tinman was just saying Kenny had a better career than the guys that were drafted 2-4 which is true. That being said, if there was a redraft of this class Kenny wouldn't have gone 6th

    It would have went something like:

    1. David Robinson
    2. Scottie Pippen (could also be Miller here)
    3. Reggie Miller
    4. Kevin Johnson
    5. Reggie Lewis (RIP; was an absolute baller before he died)
    6. Horace Grant
    7. Mark Jackson
    8. Ken Norman
    9. Sarunas Marciulionis
    10. Kenny Smith

    I also was appalled by the thread title but watching the video tells a different story - they are really just saying Giannis can impact the game in a number of different ways like only a handful of players and Hakeem is really the only other big historically who had that same type of versatility. It's a fair point. No one is saying Giannis has anywhere near the skill and fluidity of Hakeem - it's just that Giannis can get a block, a steal, a rebound, and a critical bucket in the same sequence or could zero in on some focus area and execute that all game agains the other team(beat them on the offensive glass, shut down the paint, shut down the best scorer, etc) and the only guys who have every been able to be that dominant to execute what the team needed whenever they needed it were Hakeem, Jordan, Giannis, and Kenny says Westbrook but I need to see the receipts on that last one. In my mind Westbrook COULD do that, but maybe only for a few possessions. His focus was never able to sustain that for more than a quarter. Hakeem and Jordan did it for seasons at a time...

    Solid post. I guess the OP could have used a better thread title but I think he knew what he was doing ;)

    At least Bill Simmons knows Dream is Nigerian

    I see the espn suckers are on this thread
    @Os Trigonum

    People here are dumb enough to think espn likes Jalen green and the Rockets
    They don’t care , they want the Lakers or Knicks to win for money reasons

    If they redrafted based on order
    The dudes before him not named David Robinson who was #1 did not have a better career than Kenny
    And the numbers and career achievements proved it

    Clutchfans is the only place where your playing days got worse if they didn’t like you on tv

    this must mean magic Johnson and Isaiah Thomas must suck too

    Kenny smith is a much better point guard than Mark Jackson
    Look at his shooting percentage and turnover ratio

    That's the title of the video,

    I'm not trying any dumb unfunny headlines like @Carl Herrera
    @Os Trigonum @J.R. @Jontro

    99ers give it to you direct

    True summer league story,
    this fat kid wearing a Kings -DeMarcus Cousins story starting talking to us about hoops. He started alright with the current players etc, then he went off into stuff he didn't know like he knew it.

    This made me think of NON 99ers.
    @Aruba77
    We talked about how cool UNLV is and the legendary players like Larry Johnson, then the kid said he remembers when Larry Johnson won the title in the 80s....

    This reminds me of the people who said they saw Kenny Smith playing with the Rockets, which is only a youtube video of the Orlando game.

    Simmons love Hakeem and holds him in high regard. That being said, as he's gotten older and bigger, his takes have been more Skip Bayless than actual insightful/intellectual pieces.

    We can debate that but The Jet is still not going ahead of the other players :)

    You and your posts I don't mind reading; That fake #7 has been on my ignore list since god know's when.
