Underrated aspect of this Kenneth Faried Instagram post? Location: Houston Toyota Center Hasn't even cleared waivers and he is already here!
Exactly, has d morey done the homework? Faried claim to fame was the offensive rebounding, but will he still have the high motor to offensive rebound in dantoni's 'hook em and sink em' style offense. I'm guessing that why Carmelo anthony got shut down due to lack of rebounding which was what Ryan Anderson failed to bring to the table in last year's golden state series in WCF.
If he can grab 1 offensive rebound a game and 6 defensive rebounds plus 7-8 points and some defense I will be satisfied.
Is this someone on CF's? Sure sounds like it to me. Apologizes if it has already been posted. Edit: He made a mistake by saying Chris Paul had a groin injury. No one on CF would say that, but this is a good video.
I think the George Karl Nuggets eliminated the Warriors with Mark Jackson. Andre Iguodala, Kenneth Faried, Carmelo Anthony were on the Nuggets, on the Warriors Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green being fat bench player back then.
Team was desperate for rebounds and play above the rim .. things Fareid has shown in the past to be strengths .. does he still have it?
he needs to be able to rebound because the '80 million dollar man' got a broke thumb that is trying to heal up.
It is a good video but I think he's way off base saying Morey will be looking for a back up point guard at the deadline. With Harden, CP3, Gordon and Rivers we probably have more guard depth than anyone in the league. In my opinion, they'll try on Manimal and see how he works out in the back up center role while still keeping an eye on the Dedmon's of the world. I suspect they'll also be sniffing around for a 3 and D wing closer to the level of Ariza unless they're satisfied with Ennis and Nunnally; in which case they may look for another floor spacing power forward. I like Marvin Williams but don't know if he's going to be available. When you look at our roster it's pretty apparent that the 3/4 spots are where we're really the weakest if we could just get healthy. CP3/Rivers/Knight Harden/Gordon/Green Ennis/Nunnally PJ/Clark Capela/Faried/Nene/Hartenstein/Chriss (can you believe we had Zhou Qi too?)
I think he can still rebound pretty well. He can't play above the rim like he did at his peak, but he can still dunk with some force, and run quickly.
Yes, I was surprised that he was talking about getting a backup PG, now that Rivers is in Houston. A 3/4 is a must, more than Dedmon, just like you said.
Morey made a mistake thinking Harden, CP3 and Gordon and a revolving door of min guys were all we needed for guard depth. Adding Rivers is good, but I wouldn't say we have "more depth than anyone in the league." I don't trust the health of Mr. Hammy and General Soreness in the playoffs. And the only depth Brandon Knight provides is that of the hole he digs for us when he's on the floor.
