All we really need him to do is run the pick and roll with Harden and hustle his butt off. He doesn't have to be as good as Capela to still be a difference maker while Capela is out.

Im almost positive Moray knows the team needs rim protection …. but one of these guys cost you a #1 pick and the other one was absolutely free.

Lac harrell. I think he can help us a lot. Remaining loophole is in small forward position

House should be the man for that spot. TF and DM have not paid enough heed to this, otherwise they wouldn't have initially offered him a non-guaranteed contract. There is no better choice right now.

Yeah, pretty much. THIS is why the Rockets want House on a multi-year deal so badly. But I could see maybe one of the older guys taking less next season to stay in a good situation.

Again, yeah, that’s my thinking as well. But don’t overlook the Rockets’ ability/willingness to take on longer-term salary this or next season. We don’t know what kinds of contracts will be handed out in 2019 free agency, and there could be some deals moved in their first year. Nate Duncan and Danny Leroux call this “the Nene”, in reference to when Denver re-signed Nene (a valuable player) to a new contract several years back and then traded him to Washington a few months later, rather than letting him walk (possibly to Houston) in free agency.

Bill Worrell - Kenneth Faried is a Number 1 Draft Choice from the Nuggets years ago. And the Nets released him a couple of days ago, and he fell on the Rockets lap.

Matt Bullard - Kenneth Faried fills what the Rockets need the most is Rebounding, Playing the Pick and Roll with Harden like Clint Capela, Kenneth Faried brings energy which is sorely needed on the Rockets.

Clyde Drexler - Kenneth Faried plays hard night in and night out.

    None of them were buyouts.

How did the Rivers buyout work out?

Faried certainly has plenty of defensive struggles, but part of defense is defensive rebounding, and at least in that area he has always excelled. Not saying that we won't want to beat our collective CF heads against collective CF walls at points watching defensive lowlights, but there should be some good to offset some of the bad.

With Faried (or any vet minimum contract really) we just need to embrace any positive contributions we get, and let them eat minutes to save the key contributors for April-June. Glass half full.

The way Faried's last season-plus has gone, he doesn't have a ton of leverage to get a nice contract this summer.

Let's hope that he either plays well enough for us to resign him for a minimal amount, or he plays well enough to justify a manimal amount. Either is fine.

I 100% believe that you have a better grasp of what the Rockets need than Daryl Morey AND would be more effective in obtaining it. You'd be a trade machine.

You guys, can we start a petition to get Morey fired and have BasketMad replace him as GM?

I guess that's a good reason why he decided to come here, what's better than start some games next to James Harden when you're in contract year? ;)
