To bad I would have loved to have him as our PF (although I already knew that was a pipe dream).

Hella smart. Lock him up before he's available to the public, also so no thirsty team offers him something ridiculous. Morey needs to once again revise his made-up rules about matching what the public matches before it blows up on his face again. Do not put us thru a Dwightmare.

With the new TV money, $12M is the new $8M.

An argument for NBA players to play in international tourneys?

Morey has only had one opportunity to do this, kyle lowry, and the contract didn't turn out too badly

I'm happy for the guy. For awhile there he was in a lot of rumors to be moved. Good to see this and the Team USA success.

Too me faried, while a good player, isn't really worth that deal. I mean what does he really do well except for rebounding?

I don't think he is better than Kendrick Perkins, in his prime, or Shane Battier, or the Matrix. To me he is a rich man's nick collison.

sinking 12 million into his probably isn't a great move.

Well, he is better than you think and has more potential than that Conley jr guy

Faried is a decent player, but i don't think he's worth that contract is he really even that much better than Terrence Jones?

I am not sure but I think him and the Brow took over some major games at the FIBA WC.

Faried's glow from the FIBA World Cup performance all but precluded an overpay while he helps sell a few tickets in Denver.

Exciting player, if not quite worth the contract.

Not worth it under the current cap. Will be worth it once the new cap kicks in. Good deal for the Nuggets, IMO.

You can say that with hindsight.

Back in the draft, I think most of the board was happy with the selections of DMo and Morris. DMo was supposedly a Dirk-lite and Morris was believed to be a good go-to scorer.

Personally, I wanted Kawhi at the 14th pick but I understood why the Rockets went after Morris as he seemed to be the guy that the Rockets could give the ball to for a score - something the Rockets really needed at the 3 position. And Kawhi, while the best defender in the draft, had a horrible jump shot at the time. Faried, really came out of nowhere though.

Credit to both these guys for improving their game and their worth.

    This.

Faried was the perfect role player for the squad of all-stars.

Dude would fit in any team. Love this dude's hustle and tenacity. He'd be badass on the Rockets.

Overpaid. The Nuggets fill their roster with good players - but having "just" good players without very good guys isn't enough in the West, no other team would trade for this contract either. This smells like mediocrity treadmill.
