D-Mo has more potential at this point. Lebron has peaked. Maybe if they throw in 1st rounder

You're being greedy. We're in a win-now mode. So I wouldn't mind doing that trade straight up.

I'd take Faried on this team.

He would become our Otis Thorpe v2.0

Guess you're too young to remember OT because his game was vastly different

I would prefer Amir Johnson to Faried.

Amir has a nice midrange jumper and has actually started to develop a 3pt shot. His defense is also above average. He may not be a starting PF on a contending team yet, but I would much rather have him on the Rockets as opposed to Faried.

How so? I'd give the edge for defensive ability to Otis but overall they play just about the same type of game.

Bulldogs down in the paint that have high shooting percentages because of their efforts on the boards and in the paint.

Both block shots at a pretty good rate for being undersized PF/Cs. I'd take him, it's been done before without a stretch 4 with two guys in the paint. I don't understand why Clutchfans is always fixated on the Kevin Love/Lamarcus Aldridge type stretch 4s.

Sure it would be nice, but consider what we would have to give up to obtain those already allstar caliber type players.

And btw, I'm pretty sure we're about the same age, Reeko.

Agreed and it's not even close. Faried is a terrible fit for this team. Where LMA fits perfectly.

If we could get him, we would be that much closer to having the pieces to trade for a Kevin Love or Lamarcus Aldridge type player.

OTOH, if they're demanding top dollar, I'm not sure we can afford him since they wouldn't want Asik.

They'd likely demand Asik, a pick, and one of our bigs (probably DMo).

I know Faried isn't a perfect fit for our system given his limited shooting ability, but he can run, so he'd fit our uptempo style. I love this guy. He rebound, he plays defense, and he's explosive to the rim. One of my favorite players in the league. He's gotten better every year and hasn't reached his peak yet.

Call me crazy, but I'd pay that ransom to get him.

I like Faried's game, and he's an exciting player, but he's going to leave a lot of holes for us and the one's he would fill aren't all that much of a problem right now.

I would rather just roll Asik out at PF, and keep our flexibility with Jones off the bench. Unless the PF we are getting can hit a mid-range jumper and free throws, I want us to stay with the squad we have.
