I didn’t say anything about perjury... and the very vox article you cited has several experts pointing out that he has been at a minimum deceptive in answering questions if not dishonest.

If you want to argue about the semantic differences between evasive and deceptive, go ahead. He hasn’t been purposely deceptive and someone that operates that way shouldn’t be on the Supreme Court. However he isn’t the first and he won’t be the last. He will just be another figure head on the court to join the ever growing list.

and dont hold your breath waiting for it
Seems you are clueless on the difference

People often confuse civil rights and civil liberties. Civil rights refer to legal provisions that stem from notions of equality. Civil rights are not in the Bill of Rights; they deal with legal protections. For example, the right to vote is a civil right. A civil liberty, on the other hand, refers to personal freedoms protected by the Bill of Rights. For example, the First Amendment's right to free speech is a civil liberty. (https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/civil_rights)

    They are simply different things
Conclusion- you dont know what it means for something to be essential
again with the false claims. Nobody is 'selling' civil liberties and the right to vote is a civil right!
Its people like you who place lesser value on the lives of others (an essence of tyranny) that are a real threat to the country. Fortunately, you are in the minority. Sooner or later, more laws for responsible gun ownership will be put in place and if, like the prohibition, the 2nd amendment needs to be modified or repealed it will be done. But mass killing will not be allowed ad infinitum just for a few of you to have your toys

That truth is why the likes of you are willing to use any means necessary, including putting a toddler in office, to push your minority agenda on the rest. But, like those who supported slavery, you will only end up on the wrong side of history.
Depending on the circumstance, I can feel their choice is either messed up or not, and if they do it for money, then i do think such is messed up.

But YOU (not the people making the decision) are definitely messed up in your thinking, for offering money for their choice in the name of some sick greater good.

If you still dont get, I really cant explain further.

fair enough. But it's been noted plenty of times that the modern trend of not speculating about future hypothetical rulings started with the Notorious RBG.

LOL, yes, I know what they are you simpleton and my statement stands. Also, what you just quoted is flawed in that there are civil rights protected by constitutional amendments just like there are civil liberties protected by constitutional amendments. Obvious examples of that would be the 15th or 19th amendment.

Without civil liberties there would be no civil rights.

You're the one sitting here disagreeing with the constitution and everything this country was built on.....so maybe think about that for a bit.

This is an incredibly feeble minded take and doesn't adequately dispute what I said with anything intelligent or based on reality, so we'll just leave it here.

That said, the murder rate in this country is pretty close to the lowest it has been in 100 years....yet you desire to take from the people anyway. That absolutely says a lot of bad things about you.

I don't doubt that you can't explain it, because your position is nonsensical. If there's nothing "sick" about the action, then there's nothing "sick" about paying someone for it. You simply can't get around that, but you keep trying and it's a little bit funny.

in the lying/deception/evasion/stupid tweet department, the Washington Post awards Senator Kamala Harris its coveted FOUR PINOCCHIOS award for her performance last week during the Kavanaugh hearings. Yay Kamala!!!!

    tl;dr :

"Harris’s original tweet, with the 'they say' language removed, was slightly mitigated by the second tweet a day later, providing the full context. But there was no acknowledgment by Harris that the original tweet was misleading. She earns Four Pinocchios -- and her fellow Democrats should drop this talking point."

Well, yeah, most senators will approve of Kavanaugh. Shouldn't be surprising.

Also, as to the definition of "bribe" that would be to persuade (someone) to act in one's favor, typically illegally or dishonestly, by a gift of money or other inducement....so yeah attempting to persuade her to vote a certain way with a gift of money is a bribe.

Wow, the commenters on that tweet are not happy with her. Will the Koch bros still support her if she confirms?

Kavanaugh accused of sexual misconduct in letter provided by Feinstein to federal investigators: REPORT

Sexual misconduct allegations today surfaced involving Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh. The FBI confirms receipt of “information” which Sen. Diane Feinstein spoke of earlier today. FBI tells reporters letter has been added to “Judge Kavanaugh's background file, as per the standard process.”

The New York Times published a bombshell report today on allegations of sexual misconduct against President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh.

“The information came in a letter, which was first sent to the office of Representative Anna Eshoo, Democrat of California, and included the allegation of sexual misconduct toward the letter’s author, a person familiar with the letter confirmed.”

The senior Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Diane Feinstein, referred the information involving Kavanaugh to federal investigators on Thursday, but the senator refused to comment on the matter.

    From the report:
