Kendrick Lamar's great lyrics were wasted on a piss poorly produced album.

I can't see myself listening to it more than once.

Poorly produced album?! Are you serious??

This is one of the best mixed albums of all time.

Don't know about all time (need some more listens), but extremely well produced for sure, from beginning to end.

Did Kendrick f*** your girlfriend? Don't gotta spill out your distaste for the album every time someone likes it.

Do not understand all of the love for Drake, at all. J Cole I guess I can get why some don't like him but I honestly seriously love the albums he puts out. Great from start to finish. Born Sinner and Cole World are fantastic albums cover to cover, and I still listen to The Come up and The Warm Up mixes.

    I get it.

This album goes completely off course compared to GKMC. It has a more poetic funk vibe, which understandably, will not appeal to fans of his first piece.

Its different, but I like it.

I like everyone he listed. Kendrick, Drake, JCole, Childish, all of them put out great music.

I get why people dislike Drake, but disliking his music I don't really get. Every album he has put out has been tier 1, but he's certainly not the best lyricist (Kendrick is).

As I said before though, there's no accounting for taste. That's why the kiddies above getting all butthurt one way or the other is so silly. Not everyone likes the same thing.

Eat Pray Thug by Heems (formerly of Das Racist) is another great new hip hop album I'm listening to.

Didn't feel it on my first listen on Monday. Haven't had time to listen to it again though so I am reserving my verdict.

As a lyricist,he is the best in the game. That being said I think Lupe sends out the message more towards humans in general than towards black people as Kendrick does throughout this whole album. Lupe acknowledges that the struggle isn't a racial one and that's what attracts more towards his music now. I mean obviously we interpret each song/album to fit our own issues and whatnot, but TPaB is really geared towards black issues, and Imo that's why Testuo and Youth is a better album.
Hood politics, king kunta and mortal man are my fave. Tracka

No doubt this album is dope. More in tune with his earlier projects like Section.80 and Overly Dedicated.

My top tracks rundown go like so:

    Blacker the Berry
    U
    Hood Politics
    King Kunta
    How Much a Dollar Cost

This man has an amazing career ahead of him. So creative and never scared of trying something new, that ensures you never get stale.
