he is poor shooter, pretty much like Rubio. But he is assist-first type of player

good assist rate which is no fluke

His scoring prowess is probably overrated

Good assist PG. Not quick but plays under control and not a good shooter. Could be a less flashy version of Rubio. Not similar to Lin at all.

what is so funny about beating the Rockets? We are an inconsistent team.

This would be no surprise but I think Rockets will give 100 percent effort this time.

Rubio is a horrid defender! He will pick up some steals because that's the only way he can lay defense. And what's worst is that he can't finish around the basket at all.

First round pick, good potential, not sure why the Suns dropped him. Was he so bad that they couldn't even trade him for something? I remember one game last year between the Suns and Rockets where Marshall played looked like the best PG out of Dragic/Lin/Bev. I was impressed then.

easy to rack up assists in D'Antoni's offense. A lot of one pass catch and shoot opportunities. So if you have shooters, then you can get a lot of assists. Marshall's a good player, at least back-up worthy on most good teams. But not flashy enough for some GMs I guess. hope he continues to develop his shot (he really should try to completely revamp his shooting stroke in the offseason). probably the most physically awkward looking PG I've ever seen, not just his shooting stroke, but something off about his proportions. Anyone else notice this?

I don't think Marshall's high assist rate is a product of D'Antoni's system. He is a legit floor general with excellent vision and has been so throughout his college career. He would have been a star if he could just shoot the ball at an average level.

Completely agree. Felt even w/his inability to shoot the ball he would make a solid backup pg in the league.

What is shocking is that no other team felt compelled to sign him after the Wiz waived him.

You either don't watch the games or you're high. We're talking Rubio not Rondo.

Reminds me of Rondo but a worse defender.
