If anything just watch the game and keep an unbias eye on the calls. Actually evaluate the foul instead of listening to the commentators say if it's a foul or not

I am a little worried about Tony Brothers. He was awful in the first half of Game 5 against the Mavs. Every time the Rockets breathed on a Dallas player, the whistle blew. He was better in the 2nd half, but he's still a terrible ref.

I'm not worried about Mauer. Yes, he swallowed the whistle in that infamous loss to Memphis, but he was fine in the Mavs series(I think he reffed Game 2). And you can't blame him for the Game 3 loss to the Clippers. That was all on the Rockets.

People on here need to stop with the conspiracy theories over the refs. Remember when a bunch of folks got worked up over Joey Crawford and he turned out to do a pretty solid job officiating in both series?

I can't believe this thread is already full of whining. In particular the "we're doomed" sentiment is idiotic. Obvious persecution complex.

    Lol, my response.

Officials for Game 1's 16 point Loss

#24 Mike Callahan, #22 Bill Spooner, #9 Derrick Stafford

Officials for Game 3's 25 point Loss

#41 Ken Mauer, #30 John Goble, #16 David Guthrie

Officials for Game 4's 33 point Loss

#43 Dan Crawford, #10 Ron Garretson, #8 Marc Davis

As much as I dislike Tony Brothers (I witnessed his officiating first row against Atlanta this season and he sucks), Ken Mauer is worse.

Mike Callahan called the game 1 loss.

People are just looking at the numbers man and those numbers say that two of those refs don't usually give Harden a lot of calls.

If you didn't expect a thread of this title to be full of whining, lol then I'm not quite sure what you were anticipating it being full of?

At least its mostly smushed in here right?

lol, we should all make a pact right now to put any in-game ref "concerns" in this thread only, and see what the Game Thread page count is afterwards in comparison to regular playoff game threads lol...

    Holy Crap everyone, relax!

Ken Mauer last 10 games calling for the Clippers, the Clippers are 7-3
Ken Mauer last 10 games calling for the Rockets, the Rockets are 6-4

Tony Brothers last 10 games calling for the Clippers, the Clippers are 7-3
Tony Brothers last 10 games calling for the Rockets, the Rockets are 7-3

Mike Callahan last 10 games calling for the Clippers, the Clippers are 5-5
Mike Callahan last 10 games calling for the Rockets, the Rockets are 6-4

Couldn't have more even numbers. Everyone remembers officials when they make calls you don't like against your team, but I can assure you these guys piss off the other teams fans just as much.

Bottom line is this, if we shoot the 3 well we will win. Or we could actually defend hard for 48 minutes and win it that way too!!

Ken Mauer is particular trouble for home teams not the rockets specifically. He doesn't call touch fouls on harden and he tilts the scales for a road team.

Tony brothers is just a bad official. Nobody likes him

Yeah, Mauer is a decent ref I just hate how he calls Harden. A foul is a foul is a foul and I think sometimes some refs get caught up in this false narrative that Harden is flopping and not getting hit.

Brothers is a horrible ref, good luck finding anyone that thinks he's a good ref. It feels like he's always favoring one team over the other.

Just need to catch fire from 3, refs can't stop us from hitting shots.

Hopefully having JVG will calm it down. If calls are bad, he will call it out

As funny as it is I wonder how much the commentators affect the refs since they can be heard from over there.

Like that Dwight Howard tech on Blake. Personally I didn't think it was worth reviewing and then you have Barry screaming at the top of his lungs that it had to be flagrant and that it was horrible blah blah blah.
