Just from a quick glance at a couple of Clips boards, their fans HATE Tony Brothers and think he's got a vendetta against them at all times. My favorite quotes: "I think we need to worry more of how this team is a mental midgets instead of the ref for this series, I am more mad at the clippers than the refs and rockets" "its us (clippers) vs. them (houston, media, nba, etc)" It's funny really, I imagine fans of all teams are like this. Everything is a conspiracy and the NBA is out to get them.
The fact that this is even a thread would be a big deal in other sports, but not the NBA. It does make you wonder and when people wonder, that has to hurt the integrity of the game. I don't understand why this is allowed to continue. If I were the Commish, I would make a rule that refs had to have played the game at some competitive level, say HS varsity or above. Some of these guys don't look like ballers to me and how can you call a game as complex and fast as basketball if you have no idea what it takes to actually play the game?
Called it (jokingly) a few days ago in another thread. Never actually thought the NBA would have the balls to do it. Wow. If we actually lose game 7 because of these guys, then I'm done with the NBA. This is BULL****.
I actually really like this.. The clippers feel that these refs hate them and do the same for them... so who's really going to be the ones getting the advantage? If they hate us both, the calls should even themselves out.
terrific preemptive strike by Clutch! gotta put this out all over the web! Honestly though it seems ridiculous to be talking about match fixing in 2015...everybody is paid..greed much?
Neither of those guys were officiating the last game. Rockets still played like crap through 4 quarters. How they play is 99% of the deal here
Really blatant match fixing with the way social media is now..seems like a black eye the league would not want,If your league seems like it isn't legitimate, in the long run it will come back to hurt your bottom line...why risk it?
I don't think the NBA is fixing the match. But even if it's for no reason - those guys are terrible officials and their inconsistency really affects the game. They will have some negative effect on this game. This question is when, and for whom.
Makes me wonder if the Rockets should still put D12 on Blake. The refs are gonna blow the whistle against D12 real hard and early in this game is he does guard Blake.
Guys; can we not write this game off already due to the announcement of certain officials? The game isn't going to be rigged
