Figured this was worth a thread of its own. From Ken Berger of CBS:

    Meh.

Pre-draft Rockets news is normally VERY active and then there isn't a payoff.

hmmm...another 1st rounder to package in a larger trade deal or to use on the team?? I'd say the former.

I wonder why? Would even be able to afford all these picks at this point?

You can always pay a first rounder without cap space or exceptions.

Do we still have the 32nd pick? (Basically a late first rounder)

So trade the 32nd for the first and a future 2nd rounder?

Jones to OkC or Boston for 14th or 16th

Fits the bill of Denver seeking two firsts for Lawson.

Definitely something to consider if we're planning to operate OVER the cap (and maybe even under the cap).

By operating over, we would need to use a portion of the MLE to sign the #32 pick, which decreases our potential offer to Llull. By trading into the 1st, no need to use any of the MLE.

I'd really like to get Justin Anderson at #25 if he's there.
